摘要: The present system generally relates to a fluid flow system where a controller and motor pump assemblies are used to optimize the control of fluid flow through the system. The controller samples the back electromotive force of the motor and pump assemblies and is able to utilize the sampled back electromotive force in conjunction with predefined target back electromotive force values, preferably empirically determined and tuned to an induvial motor and for a select fluid, to tune the voltage applied to the system, control the back electromotive force of the system and, by extension, control the flow of fluid.

摘要: This invention is for an automatic drinking water enhancement apparatus consisting of a storage reservoir for water enhancement liquid connected to a positive displacement pump that will pump said water enhancement liquid proportional to the drinking water supply flow rate, and a merging and mixing means to combine the two streams, and an output leading to the dispenser to the user. The positive displacement pump may be powered by the drinking water stream flow and pressure, or by an electric motor with suitable electronic or computerized controls and sensors to drive the motor and infusion pump speed proportional to the filtered water flow rate, or as otherwise controlled. Fixed and variable control of the water enhancement liquid concentration in the output drinking water stream are included. Because it operates automatically, in the simplest embodiment the use requirements for this apparatus are the same as using a filtered water delivery faucet, plus keeping the water enhancement reservoir filled on occasion as necessary. If a user controlled water enhancement concentration approach embodiment is used, the user will have the additional use requirement to adjust the control input device to specify the desired water enhancement liquid concentration.

摘要: Electrochemical impedance may be used for accurate and real-time tracking and control of fluid delivery from fluid-filled chambers, such as from drug delivery devices. At least two measurement electrodes may be placed within the chamber in contact with the fluid to be sensed. Application of a small alternating current using these electrodes through the fluid/drug may allow measurement of electrochemical impedance. Volumetric changes of the compressible chamber due to movement of at least one surface within the compressible chamber (such as an actuating bellows or flexible diaphragm), may induce changes in the measured electrochemical impedance. Measuring these changes may allow for tracking of ejected liquid volumes from the compressible chamber. By taking the time-derivative of this signal, the rate of volume change can be tracked and therefore the rate of ejected fluid (flow rate) can be deduced.

摘要: A beverage dispenser for carbonated beverages, such as draft beer and soda, includes a volumetric beverage flow rate controller in the form of a tubular restrictor or choker combined with a subsurface flow beverage dispensing nozzle assembly. The nozzle has a positive bottom shut-off moveable between open and closed positions for initiating and stopping flow into the container. At defined rates of serving speed, greater control over pour characteristics, particularly over foam formed on the top of the beverage, is achieved.

摘要: A beverage dispensing system includes separate valves for controlling the flow rate of a diluent and a concentrate. Various concentrates of different viscosities can be used and the selected concentrate is identified. The flow rate of the concentrate is determined based on temperature and pressure and on information related to the identified concentrate. The valves are controlled so that the concentrate and diluent reach target flow rates. The target flow rates satisfy a target ratio of diluent to concentrate. If the actual flow rates cannot reach the target flow rates, then the target flow rates are modified to satisfy the target ratio. The structure of the concentrate valve is designed to accommodate proportional metering of any one of the various concentrates.
