    摘要: Novel residential elevators, and novel methods of installing and using residential elevators. A residential elevator of the invention typically includes guide rail structure, a car, lift apparatus, and cables connecting the lift apparatus to the car. The guide rail structure is mounted to the building. The car is mounted to the guide rail structure. The car has a range of upward and downward movement, along a path of travel between an upper limit and a lower limit. The lift apparatus lifts and lowers the car, and is mounted to the guide rail structure, at a location such that the lift apparatus is above the top of the car when the car is at the upper limit. Preferably, the cables extend directly from the car or car frame to the lift apparatus without passing over or around any sheave or around any other direction-changing structure.

The tractor assembly includes: a traction sheave, having a traction means fitting surface and a first transmission surface on a peripheral surface thereof; a plurality of support wheels, configured to support the traction sheave, and each having a second transmission surface on a peripheral surface thereof; and support wheel bases, configured to support the support wheels through support shafts, wherein the first transmission surface of the traction sheave is in transmitting cooperation with the second transmission surfaces of the plurality of support wheels respectively. According to the tractor assembly and elevator of the present application, the support wheels are disposed to achieve the transmitting cooperation of the traction sheave during operation of the elevator and support the traction sheave, thus omitting the load and drive bearings required by a conventional traction sheave.

A second support member of one example is at least partially received over the first support member. The second support member includes at least one stop portion extending inward from an interior of the second support member. A plurality of motion limiters, which are inserts in one example, are received between the stop portions to limit relative rotary movement between the first and second support members. The load bearing member is received around the exterior of the second support member where it is secured in a selected position.

    摘要: The present application provides a tractor assembly and an elevator. Therefore, not only the weight of the unit is reduced, but also the reserved hollow part of the traction sheave increases the area of ventilation, thus improving the heat dissipation effect of the rotor winding of the traction unit.
