摘要： A strip process line has a high back coil car for automatically banding coil of metal strip on the coil car. The process line runs while banding occurs on the coil car. The coil car includes an outer frame, and coil receiving saddle with a pair of blocker rolls or a “V” saddle, and a hold down arm and a plurality of strap guide channels. By the high back car being docked with an automatic loading station, the process line can run while the banding takes place on the coil car, and keeps the operator safely away from the coil car until the banding is completed.

摘要： Described is a log ejection group in a rewinding machine that includes an unloading plane of wound logs and a means for slowing down the logs associated with the unloading plane. The slowing down means includes a motorized upper inlet roller to intercept the logs arriving on the unloading plane and a pair of motorized handling rollers located downstream of the upper inlet roller. The pair includes an upper handling roller and a lower handling roller. The lower handling roller is integrated into the unloading plane. The upper inlet roller and the upper handling roller are arranged on an upper structure, which is adjustable in height. The angular speed of the upper inlet roller is greater than the angular speed of the upper handling roller. A method for ejecting a log using the log ejection group is also described.

摘要： A method for bonding the tail of a convolutely wound log to the body is provided. The method comprises the use of a nonadhesive phase-change material to mechanically bond the tail to the wound log. The nonadhesive phase-change material is heated to an amorphous state prior to its application. Once applied to the wound log, the nonadhesive phase-change material mechanical bonds with the tail and wound log and as heat is lost, changes to a non-amorphous state. The mechanical bond can be selectively reversed through the application of a strength degradation accelerator.

Also included in one exemplary embodiment is a plurality of independent winding modules. The winding modules are independently positioned to independently engage the web as the web is conveyed by the web transport apparatus. The winding modules may be configured to wind the web to form a rolled product by center winding, surface winding, and combinations of center and surface winding. The winding modules are structurally and operationally independent of one another where if one module is disabled, another may still operate to produce the rolled product without shutting down the winder.

An exemplary carrier tape winding unit may include a carrier tape adhesion member attaching a front end of a carrier tape before winding or a cut back end of the carrier tape after a completion of winding the carrier tape to a winding reel. The exemplary carrier tape winding unit may further include a reel replacement member that automatically replaces the winding reel with another one after the completion of winding the carrier tape to the winding reel on a rotation axis by movement of a rotation axis and an axis support member in a direction. This direction is perpendicular to a transfer direction of the carrier tape toward the winding reel.

摘要： A gluing mechanism and method is used to dispense glue onto predetermined positions at a gluing side of a long tape of tissue paper when the tissue paper is feeding through a winding machine. The gluing mechanism includes a glue dispensing roller oriented towards and located at a predetermined distance from the gluing side of the tissue paper; at least one gluing member located near a predetermined feeding path of the tissue paper to orient toward a contact side of the tissue paper opposite to the gluing side, and including a pivot end and an action end. A driving mechanism is connected to the pivot end of the gluing member for driving the gluing member to turn about the pivot end, so as to move the action end of the gluing member to a glue dispensing position oriented toward the glue dispensing roller or away from the glue dispensing position.
