摘要： A transportable container for flowable bulk goods includes a bottom support and a stretch wrap spirally wrapped around the bottom support and extending vertically in relationship to the bottom support. Bulk goods are disposed within the stretch wrap and at least of portion of the bulk goods are disposed in direct contact with the stretch wrap to squeeze the bulk goods together and generate hoop forces for stabilizing the bulk goods in the transportable container. The transportable container has a shape that varies radially in vertical relationship to the bottom support for adjusting the hoop forces vertically along the transportable container. The varied shape of the transportable container can be, for example, tapered, hour-glass shaped, or pumpkin shaped.

摘要： A transportable container for flowable bulk goods is formed by disposing an outer wrap around a bottom support and a portion of a vertically spaced slip frame former. One of the slip frame former and the bottom support moves vertically relative to other in response to the fill level of the bulk goods. As bulk goods are added to the transportable container, the position of the slip frame former is radially adjusted to modify the shape of the transportable container. As the fill level increases in the transportable container, previously disposed portions of outer wrap are disengaged from the slip frame former to squeeze the filled portions of the transportable container. Additional portions of outer wrap are disposed around a portion of the slip frame former to maintain the transportable container for receiving bulk goods as the previously disposed portions of outer wrap are disengaged.

The process comprises the steps of preforming the package elements so that on-line sealing and long cooling cycles are not necessary during rapid packaging procedures when the film is extended under high stress. 摘要： An improved wrapping material for palletized loads which are tension wrapped is disclosed. A plastic net material comprising the plurality of sets of strands, the strands of at least one said set being substantially parallel, is oriented along said one said set to have a stretch factor of less than 15% in the oriented direction. This net is used for wrapping about pelletized loads and gives substantially improved results over known plastic net materials used in tension wrapping of palletized loads.

摘要： A package for packaging a plurality of frangible items, such as windows, doors and the like, includes a plurality of separate items, which includes a plurality of slotted upper and lower pads, a top sheet, a bottom sheet and end caps which are assembled together to form a package around the items. The items are disposed within the package in a side-by-side, spaced configuration. The top and bottom sheets overlay the top and bottom edges of the items, respectively. The upper and lower pads are sandwiched between the top sheet and the top edges of the items and the bottom sheet and the bottom edges of the items, respectively. The end caps overlay the side edges of the items and a portion of the middle section of the items while remaining portions of the middle sections exposed to view. Stretchable plastic film is wrapped around the package. A slip sheet is placed underneath the package and includes pull tabs which extend outwardly beyond the outer margins of the package so that the tines or steel plate of a lift truck can be slid underneath the package while being pulled by a front-end-attachment gripper bar on the lift truck to lift and handle the package.
