Abstract:
A tamper evident container comprises a lid and a base. The lid includes a lid rim having a lid rim flange. The base includes a base rim having a base rim flange. A frangible hinge is formed between a top pinch segment peripherally projecting from the lid rim flange and a bottom pinch segment peripherally projecting from the base rim flange. The frangible hinge is configured to rupture when the container is in the initially sealed arrangement by the application of a pinching force to the top pinch segment and bottom pinch segment that results in the relative vertical movement of the segments toward each other. As compared to the prior art, the container hinges about a frangible vertex instead of hinging about a square-shaped structure.

Abstract:
A tamper-proof and easy-open sealing type food container includes a container body and a lid. A peripheral wall of the container body has at least one recessed wall portion disposed in one corner thereof and formed a retracted external space area and concave camber between the recessed wall portion and a hem. A pull tab extends from outside of a sealing rib that can be inserted into the concave camber. Moreover, there are two tamper-proof structures disposed on the lid. The first is that the first score line has to be poked through, and the second is the second score line needs to be torn off when opening the lid. When either structure is tampered, it could be easily distinguished, which ensures the integrity, safety, and qualities of the food inside the container. With these features plus its sealing effect, the present invention has dual function of tamper-proofing and easy-opening.
Abstract:
An improved packaging device having a lid connected to the base or tub. The packaging includes multiple locking mechanisms, such as frictional or latching mechanisms. The packaging may be securely closed even after repeated openings and may include a tamper-evident feature. The walls of the packaging may be configured to provide strength and a unique appearance.
Abstract:
A food container formed from plastic, can be loaded with food and then closed by a clerk, and thereafter cannot be opened without tearing apart first sides (24, 26) of the base (12) and lid (16). The container is formed by a single sheet of plastic that forms a base and lid with second sides (20, 22) that are latched together and with adjacent first sides that are joined by a joint line (30) in the plastic that is creased and that has slits (40). At the joint line, the lid has a projecting lid tab (32) and the base has a projecting base tab (36). A person grasps both tabs, and lifts only the lid tab to tear apart the first sides of the base and lid along the joint line (30). Thereafter, the lid can be easily closed and reopened on the base.
Abstract:
A hinge-lid type package for containing an inner pack (IP) of filter cigarettes has an outer body (10), a lid (12) for opening and closing an upper opening end (26) of the outer body (10), and a pair of connector tabs (36) connected to the upper opening end (26) through a breaking line (38). When the package is produced, the connector tabs (36) enter the lid (12) to be adhered to the inner surface of the lid (12). When the connector tabs (36) are broken along the breaking line (38), the connector tabs (36) leave breaking traces (X) in both the outer body (10) and the lid (12).
Abstract:
A plastic container has a base and a lid hinged together by a hinge. The hinge has a series of relatively thick sections joined together by a series of relatively thin sections. The thin sections are sufficiently thin to be severed upon an initial folding of the hinge. The thick sections are sufficiently thick to remain at least partially intact during the initial folding. The container may be filled with product and closed with the hinge becoming partially severed and weakened and may be later opened with the hinge becoming completely severed to separate the base and the lid.
Abstract:
A plastic film bag includes a reclosable closure which is opened and closed by a slider. The bag includes a tamper evident sheet closing off the bag mouth. Alternatively the tamper evident means consists of a hood which encloses the slider and reclosable closure.
Abstract:
Improved polymeric packages with removable non-peelable flange portions of the present invention comprise clamshell packages having a removable and non-peelable package sealing mechanism, which mechanism comprises lines of reduced strength disposed within respective more rigid outside polymeric lid and container layers, which lines of reduced strength do not penetrate the inner disposed less rigid polymeric lid and container layers, whereby the respective lid and container flange portions disposed laterally exterior of the lines of reduced strength can be removed to the package--easily neatly efficiently and without generation of particulate matter.
