    Abstract: A tube guide assembly for mounting in a rod holder of a vessel. The rod holder has a depth from a cross member to a top surface. The assembly secures a mooring line to the vessel. The assembly includes a tube having a longitudinal axis and a base end dimensioned to be disposed in the rod holder to engage the cross member. The tube has a second end opposite the base end. The second end has a cleat to secure the mooring line. The tube has inverted J-shaped slots opposite one another to receive the cross member therein. A spring-loaded lock assembly is disposed in the tube. The lock assembly has a plunger to press against the cross member and lock the cross member in the J-shaped slots.

    Abstract: A fixing group of a watercraft appliance for the attachment thereof to an outer side of a deck wall of a boat comprises a base of the watercraft appliance and at least one seat formed in the base and suitable for receiving a respective threaded fastening element, so that said element has a free end projecting from the base for insertion into a respective through hole formed in the deck wall, so as to be accessible from the inner side of such a deck wall for fixing the watercraft appliance to it. The at least one seat comprises an access at a peripheral surface of the base and a retaining portion suitable for cooperating through shape coupling with said threaded fastening element to prevent the rotation and axial sliding thereof with respect to the base.The invention also refers to a method for attaching a watercraft appliance comprising said fixing group to a deck wall of a boat by means of threaded fastening elements.

    Abstract: A soft yoke mooring system, with torsional spring devices to provide restoring force to yoke arms coupled to a mooring body. Two torsional spring device types are preferred. A first torsional spring device type includes a plurality of nested tubular shafts, which are coupled end to end to each other in a coaxial array. Torque arms extend from a yoke arm end to one end of the tubular shafts, with the other end of the shafts coupled to a vessel. A second torsional spring device type includes stacks of elastomeric shear unit arrays or blocks of elastomeric material, which are coupled between a torque diaphragm device and a vessel and with the torque diaphragm device coupled by a torque arm to an end of a yoke arm.

    Abstract: A permanent rigging pedestal for barges and the like in the form of a base, a pair of spaced apart generally parallel vertical posts fixed at one end to the base, a gusset plate connecting the posts, a vertically extending coaxial pin fixed above each post, each pin adapted to receive the eyebolts of one or more ratchet turnbuckles and a locking bar connecting the pins at their upper ends to prevent removal of the turnbuckle eyebolts. In the preferred embodiment each pin carries a pair of ratchet turnbuckles, one ratchet turnbuckle having a pair of spaced eyebolts forming a U-shaped clevis between which the eyebolt of the other ratchet turnbuckle fits to engage the pin.

    Abstract: A marine deck structure for rope contact having an impermeable cover for the purpose of preventing chaffing and wear of ropes is disclosed. Provided is a marine deck structure, such as a bullnose, or H-Bit covered with a durable impermeable cover that protects the structure from the harsh elements and provides a smooth low abrading surface. In another embodiment, rope chaffing surfaces on a marine vessel or dock are covered with an impermeable cover to reduce rope wear. The impermeable cover in one embodiment comprises ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). A number of ways of covering the marine deck structures are provided, such as positioning cover sheets around or on the support member and attaching the cover by, for example, welding, adhering, or thermally shrinking.
