摘要： A readily transportable and rapidly deployable vehicle immobilization device is provided. The exhaust of an internal combustion engine is obstructed, resulting in choking off and stopping of the engine. In an aspect, a plug is provided having an extension fixed to the plug for human grasping, and facilitating insertion into an end of a vehicle exhaust pipe. In an aspect the plug expands upon being heated and is adhesive to the exhaust pipe for at least partially sealing the exhaust pipe. In another aspect, a length of adhesive material is attached to the front of a pursuing vehicle and engages an end of an exhaust pipe of a fleeing vehicle.

摘要： An apparatus for disabling a motor vehicle comprises an expandable head adapted to be inserted and secured into the exhaust pipe of an automobile, motorcycle, go-kart, scooter, boat, tractor or other vehicle having an internal combustion engine. A shaft of the apparatus may be configured to engage with a tool, e.g., a socket wrench, torque wrench, drill driver, or other tool, which may impart a rotational force on the shaft to radially expand a head of the apparatus and secure it within a tailpipe of a vehicle, such that buildup of pressure within the vehicle exhaust system does not expel the apparatus from the pipe. An axial bore through the shaft may be fitted at a terminal end with a pressure release valve to selectively release pressure, e.g., before removing the device, or to allow operation of the vehicle while the apparatus is secured within the tailpipe.

摘要： A remote control system for reducing the speed of at least one vehicle in an activation radius comprising a remote device for transmitting a wave coded signal and a receiver which is located in all vehicles. The remote device, when properly activated, transmits a wave coded signal to the receivers in all vehicles within a pre-determined radius of the remote device. Once the “Reduce Speed” signal is received, the vehicles are first slowed to a speed of 5-10 mph, and, if the vehicle sought after has not stopped and if it is safe to do so, then if the “Stop” signal is received, the speed of all of the vehicles in the activation radius is further reduced such that the vehicles are stopped or immobilized. In a further improvement of this invention, all vehicles also have a transmitter which identifies the vehicle and enables selective immobilization of vehicles.

摘要： Systems and methods for detecting tampering with a catalytic converter by using a catalytic converter sensor located outside of the exhaust system that is configured to sense vibrations from vehicle exhaust components and output that to a catalytic converter module. The catalytic converter module activates an alarm system if at least one vibration exceeds a vibration threshold for an amount of time that exceeds a duration threshold. The alarm system may include any combination of activating the integrated vehicle alarm module, an external catalytic converter alarm module, or transmitting a wireless alert to a server or user devices.
