摘要: A visor attachable above a side window of a vehicle with a portion curving and extending outwardly and in accordance with the configuration of the forward and top edges of the window opening to shield and deflect rain, snow and noise from entering the passenger compartment through a partially opened window and a wall forming a recessed area in a portion of the visor to reduce air pressure therein as the vehicle travels forward, the wall also forming an inner pocket on the inside of the visor and the wall provided with a plurality of spaced apart small round holes extending through the wall to cause a venturi effect which ventilates stale air from the passenger compartment through the round holes. A rib extends generally horizontally from the wall and divides the depression into two parallel low pressure channels and an outwardly projecting lip is formed along the outward edge of the visor.

摘要: A molding member includes an elongate pre-shaped main body of initially constant cross-section, with upper and side portions to continuously extend along respective edges of an automobile windshield plate. The main body covers a gap between the windshield plate and an automobile body panel, and has a reference point which is more spaced from the outer surface of the windshield plate along the side portion than along the upper portion. A lip section of the main body can be maintained in contact with the outer surface of the windshield plate along the upper portion with a first angle, and spaced therefrom along the side portion with a second, less steep angle. A weir of a refined appearance, with desired cross-sectional area or height is defined along the side portion, between the windshield plate and the lip section, and prevents water on the windshield plate from flowing across the molding member.

摘要: A windshield glass molding for a vehicle is formed of synthetic resins and comprises a head molding provided with a head portion and a vertical leg extending downwardly from the head portion. The head portion is provided with an elongated hole in its under surface and with engaging projections on opposite sides of the elongated hole to form an engaging groove. The vertical leg is provided with a glass receiving tongue to form a glass insertion groove between the head portion and the glass receiving tongue. The glass molding also comprises an insertion leg portion which is provided with an insertion head for insertion into the engaging groove, a supporting leg having a rainwater guide portion formed in its side face, and a glass support piece having a glass insertion groove formed in its side surface. In the upper molding section of the glass molding, the edge of the glass panel is engaged in the glass insertion groove of the head molding, while in the right and left side molding sections of the glass molding, the insertion head of the insertion leg portion is inserted into the engaging recessed groove in the head molding, and the edge of the glass panel is inserted into the glass insertion groove of the insertion leg portion.

摘要: A molding is disclosed and is adapted to be fit into a gap defined about a periphery of an automobile windshield between the windshield and a window frame of the automobile. The molding includes a main body portion including an elongated upper molding section adapted to extend along an outer periphery of the windshield, and a pair of elongated side molding sections adapted to extend along opposing side peripheries of the windshield. Each of the upper and side molding sections includes an inner portion adapted to extend into the gap between the windshield periphery and the window frame, and an outer portion adapted to overlie an outer surface of the windshield. The outer portion has a rain water guide groove formed therein longitudinally along a side of each of the side molding sections. The guide groove is gradually reduced in thickness along the elongated main body portion from predetermined locations on the side molding sections to predetermined locations on the upper molding sections, such that the guide groove is gradually reduced in width and is absent along substantially an entire length of the upper molding section. In addition, the molding includes a decoration member bonded to an outer surface of the main body portion. The elongated main body portion is a continuous unitarily molded element.
