The stabilizer bush (10) comprises: a bush main body (11) formed from a tubular elastic body having a retention hole (12) through which the stabilizer bar (2) passes; a rigid body portion (14) that is fixed to the bush main body (11) and has a higher rigidity than the bush main body (11); and an elastic film (16) that comprises an elastic body and is in contact with a second surface (14b) of the rigid body portion (14). A part of the elastic film (16) is fitted into depressed portions (15a, 15b) that are depressed from the second surface (14b) to a first surface (14a) side.

    摘要: A stabilizer bar assembly has a stabilizer bar and a pair of bushing assemblies. Each bushing assembly has an elastomeric bushing disposed around the stabilizer bar and an outer metal member disposed around the elastomeric bushing. The outer metal member compresses the elastomeric bushing between the stabilizer bar and the outer metal member to a prespecified percent of compression. When the stabilizer bar rotates with respect to the outer metal member, the compression of the elastomeric bushing stops movement between the elastomeric bushing and the stabilizer bar and between the elastomeric bushing and the outer metal member. A fastening strap is attached to the outer metal member to attach the stabilizer bar assembly to a vehicle.

    摘要: A cylindrical rubber elastic member for having a stabilizer bar inserted therein comprises an inner layer rubber with high sliding properties and an outer layer rubber provided outside of the inner layer rubber. Both the stability in operation and the riding comfort can be improved. Further, the rubber elastic member comprises a sliding surface made of a rubber with high sliding properties at the end face thereof. Frictional resistance can be lowered to prevent abnormal noise. A stabilizer bushing comprising a main body rubber portion of a sulfur-vulcanizable first rubber compound and a sliding rubber portion of a second rubber compound containing a sulfur-vulcanizable lubricant on the inner surface of the main body rubber portion, wherein the first rubber compound exhibits vulcanizability satisfying: t90−t50 ≧1.5 min and contains a crosslinking tackifier, t90 is a time to 90% vulcanization, t50 is a time to 50% vulcanization, and the vulcanizability is measured by a curastometer in accordance with JIS K 6300.

    摘要: A mount assembly is described for resiliently mounting a stabilizer bar on an automobile frame. The mount assembly comprises a bracket assembly and a bushing assembly. The bushing assembly includes an outer sleeve adjacent to the bracket and an inner sleeve for contacting the stabilizer bar. The nesting sleeves are designed so as to provide restraint of axial movement while allowing ease of rotational movement. The restraint can be provided by a positive stop such as a projecting flange member, or by cooperating conical or tapered surfaces which defines an increased frictional engagement and compression of the stabilizer bar as the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve move increasingly out of relative axial alignment.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a rubber mount for supporting a profile rod, and more particularly to a rubber mount for supporting a stabilizer of an automobile. It is the object of the invention to provide a mount of the aforedescribed type that can be installed on the profile rod easily, with only a few operating steps, preferably already at the manufacturer's site, and that has an simple and cost-effective construction. The proposed rubber mount includes an elastomer mounting body with an axially continuous slot which enables the mounting body to be pushed radially onto the profile rod for installation thereon. After installation, the mounting body can be secured with a clamping means (bracket), which according to the invention is formed on the mounting body itself. Stated differently, the bracket and mounting body are formed as a single piece, and the bracket is an integral component of the elastomer mounting body.

    摘要: A variable rate bushing passively controls the stiffness of a stabilizer bar. During normal vehicle operation, the stabilizer bar is compliant. As twist increase, the resistance increases. In one embodiment, the variable rate bushing includes at least one void which compresses as the vehicle turns. As the stabilizer bar axially twists, the void compresses and the rate of the bushing increases, reducing axial twist and increasing stiffness of the stabilizer bar. In one embodiment, the voids are teardrop shaped, arc shaped, or bone shaped. Alternatively, the bushing includes an inner layer of softer material and an outer layer of harder material to control stabilizer bar stiffness. Also, the bushing may include a molded insert made of a hard material inserted into a softer material to control the stiffness of the stabilizer bar.
