Abstract:
A robot includes a chassis, a motive subsystem configured to maneuver the chassis, a hopping actuator attached to the chassis and configured to launch the robot, and at least one leg pivotable with respect to the chassis to pitch the chassis upward at a selected launch trajectory angle. A control subsystem automatically actuates and controls the motive subsystem when the robot is airborne and uses the rotational momentum of the motive subsystem to control the attitude of the robot chassis in flight.
Abstract:
A low impact turf wheel for significantly reducing the adverse effects of frequent travel over turf by a lawn mower includes a wheel rim having an inner and outer surface, a hub arranged within the wheel rim, wherein the hub includes a central portion for mounting the turf wheel, and a plurality of spaced apart stems extending perpendicularly outward from the outer surface of the wheel rim. The stem includes a stem surface extending perpendicularly to the stem and a lug extending radially outward from the stem surface. The lug includes a lug face parallel to the stem surface, wherein the combination of the stem surface and lug face provide a ground contacting tread.

The paddles are affixed to the outer surface at discrete intervals around a circumference of the tire body and alternate between left-side paddles and right-side paddles. A right portion of each right-side paddle adjacent the right sidewall of the tire body has a first height and a left portion of each right-side paddle distal to the right sidewall of the tire body has a second height. A left portion of each left-side paddle adjacent the left sidewall of the tire body has a first height and a right portion of each left-side paddle distal to the left sidewall of the tire body has a second height. The second height is less than the first height.

A tire traction attachment device for a plurality of support beams being inserted into a tire and adjustable arms providing traction includes a base. The base has a peripheral surface and a back surface. A plurality of spike holders is positioned in a circular pattern relative to the base. Each spike of a plurality of spikes is inserted into a respective one of each of the spike holders. Each of the spikes has telescopic functions for adjusting the position relative to each of the spike holders. A plurality of support beams has a distal end and a proximal end relative to the base. The proximal end of each of the support beams is coupled to the back surface of the base and the distal end of each of the support beams is coupled to a mounting base.

A landfill compactor vehicle comprises two forward wheels and two rear wheels, each wheel having on its rim teeth having a substantially arrowhead configuration, when viewed in plan, each tooth having at least a slicing portion and a tamping portion, the teeth are arranged in a twin helical turbine pattern around the wheel rim. The disposition of the teeth pattern and the attitude of the teeth for each wheel is different to that of the other three wheels and this taken with the aforesaid arrowhead configuration of the teeth ensures a mincing action on refuse, waste and soil over which such a landfill compactor vehicle is driven.
