    摘要: A method for producing a multilayer printing plate comprising image-wise exposing and developing a light-sensitive printing plate material which comprises a support having an oleophilic surface having a hydrophilic metal layer thereon, the hydrophilic metal layer having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer either directly or on at least one subbing layer on the hydrophilic metal layer, to form a silver image resist image corresponding to the image-wise exposure by subjecting the printing plate material to a process including baking, removing the hydrophilic metal layer at non-resist image areas to uncover the oleophilic surface thereunder, and removing the resist image, or a method for producing a multilayer printing plate comprising image-wise exposing and developing a light-sensitive printing plate material which comprises a support having a hydrophilic surface having thereon at least one silver halide emulsion layer either directly or on at least one subbing layer on the hydrophilic surface to form a silver resist image corresponding to the image-wise exposure by subjecting the printing plate material to a process including baking, providing an oleophilic metal layer on the hydrophilic surface at the non-resist image area, and removing the resist image.

    摘要: Reusable printing forms and thermal image setting on the printing forms is optimized in terms of performance. A method for manufacturing the printing form, in particular a rewritable printing form, having a thermally insulating layer, is distinguished by the fact that the thermally insulating layer is produced by the configuration of individual layers to form a layer sequence as a multilayer system. A printing form which is manufactured by the method according to the invention can have images set on it with a low power image setting device, as it is possible to effectively prevent heat from dissipating in an undesirably pronounced manner, for example into a metallic carrier.

    摘要: A sheet material for bimetallic printing plate production comprises a base metal layer, a thin bimetallic layer comprising lithographically different metals, and a barrier layer between the base metal layer and the bimetallic layer. The barrier layer may be an anodic layer on the base metal layer or a film or sheet of suitable plastics material. The layers are laminated together and the barrier layer prevents corrosion by electrochemical action and by the decomposition products of the constituents of the adhesives used. Additionally, in the case where the barrier layer is of plastics material, the plate is resistant to fragmentation during printing. The sheet material may be produced in continuous lengths and results in printing plates which are relatively light in weight.
