Abstract:
Disclosed and claimed herein is a thermosensitive recording medium, having a base sheet; a binder; and a thermosensitive material on at least one surface of the base sheet comprising: one or more oxidizing agents; and a dye precursor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a heat-sensitive recording material comprising one or more heat-sensitive recording layers, an intermediate layer and a protective layer that are formed on one side of a transparent support, and the present inventions provide a heat-sensitive recording material and a process for providing the heat-sensitive recording material, wherein the one or more heat-sensitive recording layers are formed from one or more heat-sensitive recording layer coating compositions that each contain a leuco dye and a developer, the intermediate layer is formed from an intermediate layer coating composition that contains a hydrazine-based compound and an oxazoline group-containing compound, and the protective layer is formed from a protective layer coating composition that contains a modified polyvinyl alcohol.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermosensitive recording medium, which has a satisfactory color developing sensitivity, an excellent general printability (surface strength) and an excellent anti-sticking property. The thermosensitive recording layer of the thermosensitive recording medium of the present invention contains an alkylketene dimer. Without forming a protecting layer, the thermosensitive recording medium of the present invention is superior in color developing sensitivity, general printability (surface strength) and anti-sticking property.

Abstract:
The present invention provides polymeric particles comprising a polymeric matrix comprising one or more water-insoluble polymers and a laser-sensitive system encapsulated in the polymeric matrix. It also provides a process for the preparation of the polymeric particles, a composition comprising the polymeric particles, a process for the preparation of this composition, a process for forming a laser-sensitive coating layer on a substrate using this composition, a coated substrate obtainable by the coating process, a process for preparing a marked substrate and a marked substrate obtainable by the marking process.
Abstract:
In an optical recording medium, a light absorbent can be incorporated into a color-developing layer without separately constituting a light absorbing layer by holding the light absorbent in a dispersed or dissolved state in a solvent soluble or heat fusible material. Thus, an optical recording medium which exhibits satisfactory image density with a small amount of the light absorbent can be provided.
Abstract:
A thermosensitive recording material having a fluorescent color comprising a support, a thermosensitive recording layer formed on one side of the support, the thermosensitive recording layer comprising (i) a thermosensitive recording system capable of producing color upon application of heat thereto and (ii) a colored fluorescent dye composition by which the recording material has high recognition ability; and optionally an adhesive layer formed on the opposite side of the support.
Abstract:
A colour laser markable composition includes at least a first and a second Diffusion Hindered Molecular Assembly (DHMA), each including a leuco dye and, respectively, a first and second sensitizer. With the laser markable composition, at least two different colours may be formed in a single layer.
