    摘要： A device for separating multi-layered strips of paper having carbon paper provided therebetween. The separating device cooperates with the transversely located perforations in the continuous strip to drive the continuous strip through the separating device. The continuous strip also has transversely extending serrations therein which are severed in the separating device so that the continuous strip is separated into individual sheets. Each station in the separating device has a pair of inlet rollers and a pair of outlet rollers with the outlet rollers being driven at a speed which is greater than the speed of the inlet rollers so that the continuous strip is effectively pulled so that the transversely extending serrations will become severed and the individual sheets will be collected at an outlet.

    摘要： A bursting apparatus is provided for separating and/or deleaving carbon paper from a multipart perforated continuous series of forms having carbon paper interleaved therein. The forms are fed to a bursting station which includes a clamp bar and a segmented bursting roller which is driven by a one-revolution clutch or the equivalent thereof. Each successive leading edge of the form actuates a stop-feed switch for automatically metering a single form length to the bursting station. The clutch is also actuated, thereby moving the clamp bar on the next succeeding form and the bursting roller revolves for one revolution to burst the leading form and deliver it to a deleaving station. The segmented burster roller has a slight helix on its engaging edge so that bursting tension will start at one edge and move progressively across the width of the form. The deleaving station has structure similar to that of the bursting station, but modified such that the clamping bar and bursting roller are positioned orthogonal to those in the bursting station and operate on the margin of the forms. When the leading edge of the form reaches stop fingers at the deleaving station, the clamp bar clamps one side margin of the form while the bursting roller revolves one revolution to separate the margin of the form to which the carbon paper is secured, thus deleaving the form. The bursting and deleaving operations are repetitive and continuous.

    摘要： A device for separating individual items from a continuous perforated sheet includes a longitudinal burster for separating longitudinal lines of weakening on a perforated sheet, and a transverse burster for separating transverse lines of weakening on a perforated sheet. The longitudinal burster operates by employing a pair of rollers linked to a pulley device, with belts, the belts causing edge strips on a perforated sheet to diverge, and separate, from the perforated sheet, along its longitudinal lines of weakening. The transverse burster separates transverse lines of weakening by causing a perforated sheet tensioned against the surface of the transverse burster to begin to separate, the separation being completed as the perforated sheet continues to move across the transverse burster.

    摘要： Apparatus for automatically, continuously bursting and separating individual items at relatively high speed from a continuous series of items such, for example, as manifolded document forms. The invention employs one or more oppositely disposed, substantially rigid, yet deformable members disposed in confronting arrangement in the path of the items to be separated. The deformable members are movable into face contact with the items disposed therebetween so that the items are stretched tautly between the confronting deformable members causing the leading item to be burst apart and separated from the adjoining trailing items. Means adjacent to the deformable members and in the pathway of the items cause the burst item to be rapidly discharged out of the path of the advancing items and into a stacking pocket or hopper or onto a shingling table.
