    摘要： A booklet making machine is provided, comprising a stapling arrangement (10) adapted for stapling a set of sheets, and a folding arrangement (30) adapted for folding a set of sheets following a paper path. At least one of the stapling arrangement and the folding arrangement comprises an adjustment device (12; 32) for adjusting the position of the set of sheets during operation of the booklet making machine. Thereby, the quality of the stapled and folded end products can be improved during operation of the booklet making machine, without interrupting the operation of any connected apparatuses, such as a printer.

    摘要： A sheet binding processing apparatus for avoiding the residual of binding member is provided. The sheet binding processing apparatus comprises a sheet insertion port through which a sheet bundle formed of a plurality of sheets S is inserted, a movable stapler for binding the sheet bundle inserted through the sheet insertion port, and a manual stapling sheet sensor for detecting, at a predetermined detection time interval, existence or non-existence of the sheet bundle in the sheet insertion port. When the manual stapling sheet sensor detects the existence of the sheet bundle, the sheet binding processing apparatus gives permission to bind the sheet bundle by the movable stapler.

    摘要： In a mechanism and method for bonding two paper sheets on an interfolding machine, pre-compressing mechanisms are provided on each of two folding rollers to produce compress-to-bond areas on overlapped portions of two thick or air-impermeable paper sheets transferred to the two folding rollers, so that all plies of the two paper sheets at the compress-to-bond areas are compressed to bond together. Thereby, when the interfolding machine operates at a high speed, a plurality of the locally compressed and bonded paper sheets may still be smoothly folded to form a stack of interfolded paper sheets, such as a tissue paper stack or a paper towel stack.

    摘要： An apparatus for laminating articles with plastic of the type having supply rolls, pressure rollers and pull rollers through which a web of plastic is drawn. Heat shoes heat the plastic prior to the pressure rollers to cause an adhesive side to become fluent. The heat shoes have a large heating surface and are filled with sand. A plenum chamber directs cooling air onto the bonded web between the pressure rollers and pull rollers. The upper rollers are carried by a spring biased slide while the lower rollers are journaled to the frame. An eccentric mechanism mounted in the slide lifts the slide and upper rollers for threading and cleaning. A threaded linking member is attached between the slide and the top of the frame for incrementally lifting the upper pressure roller to allow single side lamination.
