摘要： A bag stack made of low density polyethylene material is disclosed. The bag stack comprises a plurality of bags where consecutive bags are adhesively connected together and where the back walls of the bags in the stack are hot welded together near the tops of the back walls of the bags. When a bag is removed from the stack, the front wall of the following bag is pulled open to permit easy removal of the next bag. A method is disclosed for forming a bag stack in accordance with the present invention.

摘要： A vertical winding apparatus includes a winding core generally formed from a flat sheet and having an irregular trapezoidal shape for supporting a continuous belt of packaging blanks. The winding core includes an upper bar separated from a lower body by a pair of opposite support notches which are configured to receive the upper edge of the continuous belt of packaging blanks. Opposite the upper bar portion of the winding core is a slot formed from the bottom edge of the core which is configured to engage a mating slot formed in a rotating drive shaft for rotationally interlocking the winding core to the drive shaft. Further, an unwinding stand is provided which supports the winding core carrying a supply of continuous belt wound thereon. The unwinding stand includes a support frame having wheels at one end and an adjustment screw assembly at an opposite end adapted to tilt one side of the unwinding stand to facilitate removal of the belt wound onto the winding core. A gripping assembly is rotationally mounted to the winding stand for removably gripping the winding core carrying the supply of wound belt.

摘要： To make blocks of bags having blocked stubs, which are joined by perforation lines substantially only to the lower opening-defining edge of each block, which lower edge is separated by a substantially continuous slit from the upper opening-defining edge, a tubular web of synthetic thermoplastic material is formed in partial regions with perforation lines extending through both plies. Only the upper ply is cut to form separating slits extending substantially throughout the width of that upper ply. The bags are then separated from the tubular web by hot-wire welding and are stacked. To make blocks of bags in which each bag is joined only at its rear wall to the stub, which serves to stack and retain the bag, transverse perforation lines consisting of holes or slits are formed in the upper ply at the opening-defining edges of the bags to be formed, and both plies are subsequently formed with transverse perforation slits, which are so offset that over the width of the initially formed perforation holes the upper ply is entirely separated from the stub and the lower ply is joined to the stub by lands adjacent to the initially formed overlying perforation line.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for stacking flat articles, such as double bags, which have been severed by hot-wire welding from a continuous tubular or semitubular plastic film and have opening-defining edges adjacent to their center lines. The bags are delivered by a transfer apparatus, called a wicketer. The wicketer has feeding arms, which are secured to a shaft and rotate about a horizontal axis and which are arranged in pairs in a starlike array. The bags are needled adjacent to their longitudinal center line on a holding plate, which is provided in a stacking station and carries upstanding stacking pins or needles, so that stacks are formed. Two radial holding plates are rotatably mounted on the shaft or axle and are connected to separate respective drives for pivotally moving the holding plates to a stacking position for receiving the articles. One of several types of devices is provided for removing the stacks from the holding plates, which have consecutively been rotated to the stacking position, and for removing the stacks.

The brackets 29 are fed to the stack conveying device 21 in a bracket delivery station 70 preceding the stacking station 14. The legs 31 of the brackets 29 then serve in the stacking station 14 as wicketing pins on which the individual bags 11 are stacked.
