    摘要: The invention concerns a pressing belt for separators which include a hollow drum having a perforated outer surface around which an endless flexible pressing belt is partially wrapped under pressure to form a pull-in or input zone with the drum. Separators of this kind serve to separate the flowable components from the less flowable components of material mixtures and are principally used in the food industry. In order to improve the wear and thus the durability of the belt, it is provided with a multi-layer structure with a high-tenacity intercalation and an upper layer, the material characteristics of the various layers being adaptable to the precise nature of the application and thereby allowing the durability to be optimised.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a system and a method of extracting liquid from a humid mass by compressing same. The system comprises a conduit of linear, circular or other shape through which the humid mass is displaced. The conduit is of rectangular cross-section, which cross-section can be constant or variable. Further, the conduit has perforated side walls along at least a liquid extraction working section of the conduit. The system further comprises elements which cause an axial pressure at the interior of the humid mass as well as a mechanism to displace at least one of the perforated side walls to convey the humid mass along the working section of the conduit in such a way as to generate between the interior surface of the perforated side walls and the humid mass a dynamic friction force which defines a pressure zone which is less than the axial pressure created by the pressure creating elements. This difference in pressure causes the liquid in the humid mass to flow out of the mass in a direction substantially transverse to the displacement direction of the humid mass and out through the perforated side walls of the conduit.

    摘要: A mechanical sludge dewatering system including a plurality of first rollers, one or more second rollers and a liquid-permeable, endless belt passing between the first and second rollers from an inlet to an outlet end. At least some of the rollers of the first set are tapered from their ends to a smaller diameter at the center, the amount of taper decreasing from the roller at the inlet end to that at the outlet end, the opposing one or more second rollers being of constant diameter. The sludge carried on the belt passes through the cavities defined by the tapered first rollers and the cylindrical second roller(s), which decrease in cross section from the inlet to the outlet end, thereby squeezing water from the sludge. The first rollers each have grooves around their periphery adjacent each end, and the belt carries a protruding strip along each side, the belt being laterally constrained by the strips riding in the grooves. In a first embodiment, the second roller comprises a single drum; in a second embodiment a second, endless, liquid-impermeable belt is superposed with the liquid-permeable belt; in a third embodiment the single drum is replaced by a plurality of cylindrical rollers arranged in opposed relation with corresponding ones of the first rollers.

    摘要: An apparatus for removing aqueous liquid having a lower content of solids, if any, from a flowable material, containing aqueous liquid as a continuous phase and suspended solids as a discontinuous phase, to obtain a product having a higher solids content, has two endless, driven belts of elongated porous sheets. The belts are supported so that one belt has its path of travel inside that of the other belt. The outer belt is supported so that it has an upper horizontal run through three zones. The inner belt is moved in the same direction and has upper horizontal runs through the first and third of those zones. At the intermediate zone the belt moves downwardly and then upwardly. The outer belt overlies and abuts the inner belt at the first and third zones and is spaced from it at the intermediate zone. The sheet of the inner belt is resilient, compressible and made of cellular material capable of absorbing an aqueous liquid by a wicking action, whereas the sheet of the outer belt is a fine-mesh sheet with pores providing passage of the liquid through the sheet by the wicking action of the abutting cellular sheet of the inner belt while most of the solids are retained on the outer belt. A feeder for delivering flowable material on to the outer belt is mounted adjacent the beginning of the first zone. At the intermediate zone a pair of opposed rolls compress the inner belt to remove aqueous liquid. The inner belt is a composite assembly of the sheet of cellular material, a backing sheet and overlying strands secured to the backing sheet at widely spaced locations to avoid affecting substantially the planarity of the outer surface of the sheet of cellular material.

The clipper closure assembly uses a clipper closure and a wire mesh guard or reinforcement, which fit over the end of the fabric. The closure and guard are pressed together and the barbs at the ends of the clipper closure legs bite into the wire mesh guard and the fabric. Two ends fitted with the clipper closure and mesh guard are brought together and a lock bar inserted into the loops that extends from the respective closures. A protective coating may be applied over the clipper closure and mesh guard.
