    摘要: The support cooperates with the half-moulds (2, 3) of a moulding unit used to shape a container from thermoplastic material. This support comprises: a pedestal in the form of an actuating cylinder (11), the rod (12) of which is solidly connected to the mould base (1); and, between the rod (12) of the actuating cylinder (11) and the mould base (1), an assembly system (13) formed by a female part in the form of a nut (14) and of a male part in the form of a screw (15). The nut (14) is trapped at the end of the rod (12) of the actuating cylinder (11) and the screw (15) is associated directly or indirectly with the mould base (1). A system of shim(s) (40, 41) can be used to adjust the working stroke of the rod (12) of the actuating cylinder (11) as required.

    摘要: A method of forming a hollow container, such as a roller bottle, having a bottom surface including an inwardly directed punt is provided, which uses air assist to eject the formed container. The method includes providing a blow mold having a pair of blow mold halves and a central blow mold portion defining a mold cavity. The central mold portion has an extended portion for defining the punt. The method further includes inserting a preform within the mold cavity and expanding the preform to form the container. Once the container is formed, the mold halves are opened and the central blow mold portion is withdrawn from the cavity while injecting gas into the mold cavity through a poppet valve in the central blow mold portion so as to release the formed container from the blow mold. In particular, blowing air between the plastic of the formed punt and the central blow mold portion prevents the central blow mold portion from sticking to the walls of the punt.

    摘要: A dual constituent container includes a compartment for liquids and an elongate inwardly directed recess open to the container exterior and isolated from the compartment. The container is formed by blow molding, using a mold that incorporates a shaping feature projected longitudinally into the mold cavity. The shaping feature incorporates an arrangement of longitudinal channels having a channel width such that when a thermoplastic preform is expanded into contact with the mold cavity walls and the shaping feature, portions of the expanded preform span the channels and cooperate with the channels to provide passages that accommodate pressurized air to facilitate separation of the expanded preform from the shaping feature. The same portions of the expanded preform can partially protrude into the channels, thus to form longitudinal ribs along the recess which aid in frictionally holding a secondary constituent.
