    摘要: An injection nozzle for use in an injection molding machine. The injection nozzle has a nozzle body. The nozzle body has a tip section, a nut section, a threaded section that are interposed between a first end and a second end. A conduit extends through the nozzle body between an intake orifice and an output orifice. Within the nozzle body, the conduit has a first zone and a second zone that meet at a transition area. The first zone extends into the nozzle body from the first end. The second zone extends into the nozzle body from the second end. Fins radially extend into the first zone of the conduit. The fins absorb heat from material passing through the first zone of the conduit. The fins can cause molten material to cool quicker in the first zone of the conduit than in the second zone of the conduit.

    摘要: An injection molding machine nozzle capable of letting heat escape from a nozzle end portion and preventing the occurrence of cobwebbing with a simple structure. A heat conducting member is mounted on the nozzle end portion. When the end of the nozzle is contacted against a mold the heat conducting member also contacts the mold. The heat conducting member is composed of the material having heat conductivity equal to or greater than that of the nozzle. The heat of the nozzle end portion is conducted to the heat conducting member and released at the mold, thus preferentially cooling only melted resin of the nozzle end portion. Cobwebbing does not occur even when the mold is opened and the molded article is removed because the melted resin of the muzzle end portion has been cooled.

    摘要: A nozzle for injection molding is made of at thermally conductive metal material but is thermally conductively blocked or interrupted. An abrupt reduction in wall thickness and/or a gap in the continuity of thermally conductive material occur along the nozzle material passageway. This provides a localized restriction to thermal conduction, causing a reduction in heat flow from the mold to the material supply while cooling the melt material near the end of the nozzle. This material, which is relatively cooled to near the mold temperature, becomes the last injected material when filling of the mold is completed, occupying the area of the sprue. As a result, the sprue is relatively cool, thus reducing stringing and shortening mold cycle time.

The shutoff valve mechanism is positioned between the nozzle of the injection molding machine and the hot runner manifold. Force applied by the machine nozzle moves an inner body member in the shutoff valve mechanism and opens a valve allowing molten plastic material to flow through the valve and into the hot runner, sprue bushings, and mold cavities. A biasing mechanism, such as a plurality of spring washer members, returns the inner body member to its rest position, thereby closing the valve mechanism when the machine nozzle is retracted.
