The device can comprise one or more outriggers which are adapted to remove the container from the motor vehicle and which can be used to deposit the container on a job site, There is also disclosed a process as well, which includes at least one of the following steps providing a base slab floor; bull floating the base slab floor, inspecting the base slab floor for debris, utilizing a measuring device to survey height dimensions, applying an adhesive intermediary, inserting plastic pins with respect to survey measured points, mixing a self leveling compound, pumping the mixed compound through a conveying system, and smoothing the mixed compound to create a uniform surface and floor which is cured.
Abstract:
A method and system for system for rapidly determining the predicted strength of concrete prior to pouring the concrete is disclosed herein. The system and process provides for a database storing concrete family characteristics that may be updated as actual strength of poured concrete is determined. The process also allows construction workers to pour concrete with a keener knowledge of the resulting concrete strength.
Abstract:
A system for forming a cementitous slurry comprising at least water or other liquid and at least one flowable particulate mass such as sand or cement has computerized control of loading the ingredients into a mixing chamber. The mixing chamber has a scale that provides a signal indicating the current weight of the mixing chamber. The computer monitors the weight of the mixing chamber as these ingredients are individually loaded into the mixing chamber. When the desired weight of a particular ingredient has been loaded, the computer halts the delivery of that ingredient. Ingredients are loaded first at a relatively high rate, and then as the desired weight of material in the mixing chamber approaches, the rate slows.
Abstract:
A ready-mix concrete and method for making the ready-mix concrete having mix proportions that include at least 70% coarse recycled aggregate and fly ash is provided. The ready-mix concrete including cement, air, water, sand and a remaining percent of virgin coarse recycled aggregate such that the coarse recycled aggregate combines to 100% of the required coarse aggregate.
Abstract:
A system is provided for dispensing liquid coloring agent to concrete delivery vehicles. The invention includes (a) a plurality of bulk tanks, (b) a weighing vessel connected in fluid tight communication with each bulk tank, and (c) a fill line connecting each weighing vessel to the loading zone. Preferably, the weighing vessel has a capacity between about 40 and about 80 gallons and comprises one or more load cells which communicate to a PLC.
Abstract:
A mixing system is provided comprising a first mixing tub, a first actuator to control flow of a carrier fluid, a sensor to determine a rate of flow of the fluid, and a second actuator to control flow of a dry material to form a mixture in the first mixing tub. The system further comprises a second mixing tub, a controller, and a weight sensor to determine the weight of the first mixing tub. The controller modulates the second actuator based on the rate of flow of the carrier fluid, based on the weight of the first mixing tub, and based on one of a sensed height of the mixture in the second mixing tub and a weight of the second mixing tub to provide the mixture at least one of at a commanded density and at a commanded flow rate. The mixture may be provided to a well bore to perform a servicing operation.
Abstract:
An apparatus for making concrete is disclosed. The apparatus includes one or more measurement devices that is used to provide controlled quantities of at least cement and sand; a high intensity mixer that receives the controlled quantities of the cement and sand, mixes the controlled quantities of the cement and sand to produce grout, and outputs a flow of grout; and a controller coupled to the measurement devices and the mixer. The controller monitors and controls mixing energy applied by the mixer during mixing. In one embodiment, the mixing energy is altered by controlling the degree of opening of a discharge gate of the mixer. A concrete plant design including such an apparatus is also disclosed.
Abstract:
An apparatus for preparing a mixture, such as mortar, with predetermined quantities by weight of the components, such as sand, cement and the like, a supply of which is present in container compartments 4, 5 of e.g. hopper 1. The container compartments are each connectable to a metering conveyor 11, 12 of the apparatus. The apparatus is further provided with a mixing vessel 13 having stirring means, the vessel being supported at least partly on force absorbers 14 of weighing means. The weighting means are coupled with control means 15 for successively putting into operation the metering conveyor means for the various components.
Abstract:
A system and process for mixing and distributing building materials. This system and process can also include a way or a means or calibrating the mixing of these materials. This system and process can also include a system for tracking the materials that flow through the system, and for controlling the type of material used in the system.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, a method may include preparing building forms including at least some cementitious materials. The method for preparing forms may include mixing substantially dry cementitious material particles with closed cell foam particles to form a substantially dry composition. In some embodiment, at least some of the cementitious material particles may adhere to at least some surface deformations on the surface of the closed cell foam particles. In some embodiments, the method may include mixing a second portion of water with the substantially dry composition for a second period of time to form a partially wet composition. In some embodiments, a method may include forming a building form including at least some cementitious materials from the partially wet composition. In some embodiments, the closed cell foam particles may include expanded polystyrene. In some embodiments, a ratio of the water to cementitious material particles may range from 0.20 to 0.40.
