摘要： A method for delivering a pre-weighed package comprising sand, aggregate and dry cement to a mixing site comprises the steps of preparing a first mixture comprising fine aggregate and course aggregate at an offsite plant. The first mixture is placed into a first storage compartment of a hopper and the load of dry cement is placed into a second storage compartment of the hopper. The hopper is transported to the mixing site, where the first mixture and the cement are discharged from the hopper and mixed to form a concrete slurry. The hopper comprises the first storage compartment and the second storage compartment, where there is a water tight dividing means separating the first storage compartment and the second storage compartment. The storage compartments have respective inlets and outlets for receiving and discharging the respective components.

摘要： A packaging having a sealed storage medium for housing deactivated wet cement product including a sealed, removably-attached separate compartment to house a chemical cement activator product, and a method of mixing each product within the packaging thereby eliminating the need for a separate mixing medium. The packaging is comprised of a waterproof, flexible plastic bag having one or more small holes with grommets into which a handle such as a looped rope can be affixed, to provide easy transport. The chemical activator with its storage compartment does not come into contact with the wet cement during storage or transport. The user may mix the contents of the chemical activator with the cement by simply opening the attached compartment housing the chemical activator, combining it with the deactivated wet cement within the compartment already housing the cement, and mixing the contents until the cement has been activated. The packaging provides a portable, combined storage and mixing system thereby eliminating the need for an additional mixing medium.

A pair of slewing apparatuses is also provided to engage both ends of a container and turn the container over about its longitudinal axis, thereby emptying its contents.

摘要： A method of mixing concrete and containers for providing predetermined quantities of cement and aggregate to be transported to a site for on site mixing of concrete. The containers have two compartments which are self closing due to the weight of the contents, one compartment containing cement and the other aggregate. When placed on a ring-like support the compartments move relatively to release their contents. The hopper of the concrete mixer has a ring-like support to open the containers and has a water spray curtain to prevent the fine cement powder to be taken away by the wind, with the water spray providing the correct amount of water for the concrete.

摘要： A portable container includes an outer component defining a hopper-like compartment having a bottom opening and an inner component having a stopper centered in the hopper with respect to the bottom opening and shiftable into and out of stoppering relation to the bottom opening, the outer compartment suspending the inner component into axially slid hopper-stoppering position and there being a target within the lower end of the inner component; and a discharge hopper positioned below the bottom opening and including a lance for penetrating through the bottom opening into contact with the target to axially lift the stopper to unstoppering position in response to lowering of the outer component relative to the discharge hopper. The outer compartment contains a granular product or a mixture of products and the inner component may also contain a compatible product. The dry products of concrete or mortar may thus be stored. The bottom opening of the inner compartment is covered with a diaphragm which is ruptured by the lance prior to engagement of the lance with the target so that the inner compartment is axially shifted relative to the outer compartment so as to effect unstoppering after the diaphragm is penetrated.
