    Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved leveling device for use with various tools or other objects during a construction or repair process. A bubble level is mounted along the straight edge of a semi-circular protractor. The protractor is movably connected to a base member and adapted to pivot thereon relative to a central axis extending through the base member. A detent mechanism is provided within the base member for maintaining the protractor at various angular settings. The base member is also adapted to rotate about the central axis and may be easily and quickly attached to or removed from the protractor bubble level as well as various types of work surfaces including wood and metal.

The first end portion defines a first plane and an opening is defined by the guide member, wherein the opening extends along the guide member in a direction perpendicular to the first plane. The device further includes a first bubble vial attached to the guide member wherein the first bubble vial extends within a second plane. The device further includes a second bubble vial attached to the guide member, wherein the second bubble vial extends within a third plane, the second and third planes are in angular relationship relative to one another and the first and second bubble vials are each rotationally adjustable relative to the guide member.

    Abstract: An electronic alignment system is disclosed. The system has at least two accelerometers, mounted in the device in such a manner that the accelerometers are mutually perpendicular to one another. An electrical connection electrically connects the accelerometers, a computing and processing device, a memory device, a feedback device, and a power source. A three axis reference frame is used as a basis for determining the angle of rotation of the device about an axis. Two accelerometers are required to determine a first angle of rotation. Adding a third accelerometer allows for the calculation of a second angle of rotation. Distance sensors can determine distance to a work piece, how far the device has traveled relative to a work piece, areas and volumes, and a third angle of rotation. Gyroscopes can also determine a third angle of rotation. The device may also include light projectors.

    Abstract: An electric power work device simplifies a mechanism of a battery attachment part and easily removes a battery from the battery attachment part. A chain saw includes a body case, a cutting part (a work tool), and the battery. A battery removal mechanism for removing the battery is provided on a rear part of the body case.     Abstract: A power tool includes a housing that encloses a motor, and a collet configured to be driven to rotate by the motor. The collet defines a drill axis about which the collet is configured to rotate. The power tool also includes a sensor assembly having a front wall with a wall contact surface. The front wall includes a first wall portion and a second wall portion that define a gap therebetween. An object sensor is secured to the front wall proximate the gap.
