Abstract: A method of installing a plurality of nut and bolt fasteners upon a structure is disclosed. The method includes placing a jig around the nut of a first fastener and the nut of a second fastener, securing the jig to the first fastener, and then using a power tool to tighten the nut of the second fastener to a target torque. The step of tightening the nut comprises engaging a socket portion of the power tool with the nut, securing the power tool to the jig such that a handle portion of the power tool is prevented from rotating about an axis of rotation of a socket portion of the power tool when the nut is being rotated by the socket portion. A jig, jig fasteners for securing a jig to a fastener, and a fastening head for a power tool are disclosed.

Abstract: A leveler table includes a plate with a flat top work surface that is level in all planes, by locating a circular level recessed within the center of the plate, so that the level indicator of the circular level is in horizontal alignment with the top work surface. By locating the circular level in the middle of the plate, at the same horizontal level as the work surface, this leveler table provides accuracy and repeatability for use of the flat top work surface in manufacturing steps, particularly the forming of parts where repeatability is necessary, such as the in situ forming of an automotive windshield sensor pad in an open ended package supported on the flat top surface.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems and methods associated with a nest device design are disclosed herein. In embodiments, a nest device may include a main body and one or more air bearings that extend from the main body. A placement mechanism may be positioned on ends of the one or more air bearings, wherein the placement mechanism includes the part. The one or more air bearings may blow air out of the ends of the air bearings against the placement mechanism when the air bearings are in a first state, and draw air in through the ends when the air bearings are in a second state. The nest device may further include one or more air jets that extend from the main body and are directed toward the placement mechanism, air blown by the one or more air jets causes the placement mechanism to be translated. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Abstract: A method and a device are provided for replacing individual idler rollers for conveyors, with which a web belt can be lifted and worn-out or damaged idler rollers in upper and lower runs can be individually replaced. The device includes, separately for replacing the idler rollers in the upper run and in the lower run, a subframe (1) for lifting the web belt (7) and for holding the web belt (7), such that a sufficient clearance is formed for replacing worn-out idler rollers (53) by means of a changing frame (2). A service vehicle is equipped with a lifting apparatus for moving dividing devices. The process steps include lifting the web belt (7), removing the old idler roller (53old), inserting the new idler roller (53new) and lowering the web belt (7). The drawing shows the use of two dividing devices in the replacing of idler rollers in the upper run.

Abstract: A method for assembling a reel comprising a first flange, a second flange and a barrel is disclosed. This method comprises (i) securing at least one spring-loaded magnetic guide to a base; (ii) positioning the first flange over the at least one spring-loaded magnetic guide and the base, so that a distal end of the at least one spring-loaded magnetic guide is inserted through a first hole in the first flange, (iii) connecting the barrel to the first flange, (iv) connecting the second flange to the barrel so that the barrel is located between the first and second flanges, (v) inserting at least one threaded fastener through a second hole in the second flange such that a distal end of the at least one threaded fastener is magnetically attached to the distal end of the at least one spring-loaded magnetic guide, and (vi) connecting the at least one threaded fastener to the first flange to form the reel. Also disclosed are the structures of the spring loaded magnetic guide.

Abstract: When plate-shaped components are inserted in the correct order and orientation into component insertion grooves of a component assembly jig, the component insertion grooves are blocked by the plate-shaped components, and the blowing of compressed air is stopped. When the blowing of compressed air from the component insertion grooves is stopped, the pressure in a compressed-air path increases, and an alignment-complete lamp is illuminated. Using the component assembly jig enables an assembly operation for overlapping the plurality of plate-shaped components in the correct order and orientation, without excess or deficiency, to be efficiently performed without error.

Abstract: A rebar construction and transportation system includes a plurality of rebar members. A jig is provided. Each of the rebar members is positioned in the jig to retain each of the rebar members in a selected pattern. A plurality of first couplers is each removably coupled to an associated one of the rebar members. Each of the first couplers may be selectively coupled to a crane to transport the rebar members. A plurality of second couplers is provided. Each of the second couplers is selectively positioned in an open position and a closed position. Each of the second couplers is positioned around an associated one of the rebar members when the second couplers are positioned in the closed position. Each of the second couplers engages the jig such the jig is retained at the selected point on the rebar members.
