The chuck has a drive unit having two pairs of entrainment members, wherein the entrainment members are preferably slidingly mounted, are respectively movable in paired relationship, and are so coupled to a respective one of the main jaws that a relative movement of a respective pair causes a synchronous movement of adjacent main jaws and that both a relative movement relative to each other with respectively different movement components and also a synchronous movement of the adjacent entrainment members in the same direction respectively causes a relative movement of adjacent main jaws.

摘要: The specimen holder serves for clamping workpieces, in particular for carrying out tests on components and materials in the form of compressive and, particularly, tensile tests. It is provided with two clamping jaws (5, 6), which can be made to move, preferably by hydraulic clamping cylinders (3, 4), are aligned coaxially in relation to each other and clamp the workpiece (2) between them. Each of the pressing pieces has a contact surface for touching the cylinder of the semi-finished product, and a pair of chamfers extending radially outward from either end of the contact surface.

摘要: A rotary chuck having a chuck body supporting a plurality of clamping jaws for movement between open and closed positions and defining a cylindrical piston chamber containing an axially movable double acting piston coupled to a jaw actuator. A plurality of springs contained within the piston chamber apply biasing force to the piston in one axial direction to urge the jaws toward closed positions. An incrementally adjustable pneumatic control system is operable to apply pressure to the piston in opposition to the springs to reduce the resultant clamping force applied by the jaws in closed position. The control system is also operable to act in consort with the springs to increase the resultant clamping force applied by the jaws in closed position.

摘要: A fluid actuated chuck is disclosed wherein the piston-cylinder drive assembly is rotationally immobile relative to the chuck body. More particularly, a fluid actuated chuck is disclosed having a cylindrical body adapted to be rotated about its central axis and including radially movable master jaws. An actuator ring is provided which is operatively connected to the master jaws of the chuck body in a manner such that the axial movement of the actuator means effects the radial movement of the master jaws. A reciprocating piston-cylinder drive assembly is rotatably mounted about the chuck body and is capable of generating a force directed axially along the chuck body. A radial thrust bearing is interconnected between the piston-cylinder drive assembly and the actuator ring to transmit the axially directed forces generated by the drive assembly to the actuator ring. In operation, fluid pressure is used to actuate the piston-cylinder drive assembly. The axially directed force generated by the drive assembly is transmitted via the thrust bearing to the actuator ring thereby effecting the radial movement of the master jaws. Since the chuck body is rotated independently of the piston-cylinder drive assembly, rotating or running seals are eliminated.

摘要: An air chuck includes a body and a valve core interface. The body includes output, interface, and input ports. The body defines a first passageway that extends between the output and interface ports. The input port defines a second passageway that is in fluid communication with the first passageway. The valve core interface is slidably coupled with the body and is slidable between extended and retracted positions. The valve core interface includes a shaft and a knob. The shaft includes proximal and distal ends. The distal end is at least partially disposed in the first passageway. The knob is coupled with the proximal end of the shaft. The shaft is rotatably coupled with the body and is selectively rotatable in either tightening or loosening directions via the knob. The distal end of the shaft comprises a grasping feature that is configured to grasp a valve core of a valve stem.
