    摘要: When handling a foil band (6) which is to be uncoiled from a delivery spool (2) and is drawn in gradually by a drawing-in device (4), a foil band loop (7) is produced. In order that this can take place without any errors with high production cadences, provision is made of an arrangement (1) in which a hollow cylinder (10) rests loosely on the band with a limited freedom of movement so as to form the band loop. Such an arrangement is preferably provided for the production of peel-off lids, in which a foil band is uncoiled from a band delivery spool and fed to a stamping and sealing station.

    摘要: A sheet stock feed line in which sheet stock is leveled and fed by a leveler to a feeder and each time the feeder feeds the sheet stock by a predetermined length, the feed by the feeder is stopped for working the sheet stock. While the feed by the feeder is stopped, the leveler feeds the sheet stock at a very low feed rate to form a loop of the sheet stock between the leveler and the feeder. When the loops reaches a predetermined size, the feeder resumes the feed of the sheet stock and the leveler is controlled so that its feed amount follows that by the feeder.

    摘要: An apparatus for shaping a strip, especially a metal strip includes a pair of working rolls which are provided with a plurality of forming tools spaced about the circumference of the rolls. Arranged before the working rolls is a pair of guide rolls which run in synchronism with the strip speed. In order to be able to increase the operating speed of the apparatus, i.e. to allow the working rolls to run at a higher speed than the advance speed of the strip, in between the guide rolls and the working rolls a roller is located which is movable in a direction perpendicular to the advance motion of the strip and is supported by the strip itself and by springs located in respective casing. A compensation between the different speeds of the guide rolls and the working rolls is provided by the gradual depression of the roller by the strip against the force of the spring.

    摘要: Apparatus includes strip material supply means, a press, and a straightening roller stand (i.e., a straightener having rollers) disposed adjacent to a mechanical press or other material processing device to which strip material is introduced in discrete steps. The strip material is fed from a reel through straightening rollers and then to the press die set, with a slack loop of material in a temporary material storage locale between the straightening rollers and the die set. A positive displacement fluid motor is used to drive the straightener, the fluid motor being connected with fluid flow control means that in turn are controlled in synchronism with operation of the press or other material processing device. A supercharging pump maintains the fluid system charged while the pump, in effect, meters fluid to the motor. Hydraulic circuit means are provided to ''''fine tune'''' the hydraulic system and synchronize the fluid motor in a desired manner. Detector means are provided and control the slack loop to maintain it within predetermined limits. Means associated with the detector means operate to divert or otherwise control leakage fluid from the motor inlet when the slack loop exceeds a predetermined maximum length, and to supply additional fluid to the fluid motor inlet when the slack loop shortens to less than a predetermined minimum length.

    摘要: A first portion of a continuous material strip is indexed through a stamping press and the stamping press is cycled so as to undertake a stamping operation on a section of the material strip during each cycle. A length of the continuous strip is accumulated in an accumulator either upstream or downstream of the stamping press. A second portion of the strip is continuously fed at a non-zero speed through a laser micromachining station positioned such that the accumulator is between the stamping press and the laser micromachining station. The speed of the second portion of said strip is controlled so that this speed is constant for at least a portion of each cycle of the stamping press and so that the average speed of the first portion of said strip through the stamping press is equal to the average speed of the second portion of the strip through the laser micromachining station. A laser of the laser micromachining station irradiates the second portion of the strip while the speed of the second portion of said strip is constant. The timing of the laser processing event within the cycle of the stamping press may be such that the laser processing event occurs at a time when the ram of the stamping press is furthest away from actual material stamping event in order to avoid the deleterious effects of stamping vibration on the laser processing quality and reliability of the laser micromachining system.
