An auger moves the waste material through the housing longitudinally to keep pressure on the opposing fixed and revolving teeth while grinding the material into a reduced particle size to facilitate its disposal or storage.

    摘要: A meat grinding reclamation system is disclosed herein. The system uses a conical feed screw. The conical feed screw is provided with a shaft and two flights. The first flight changes from a constant diameter to an expanding diameter. The second flight is provided co-helically along the shaft with a portion of the first flight. As both flights expand in diameter, meat processed through the meat grinding reclamation system accelerates, dislodging undesirable material such as gristle from the meat, before the meat decreases in velocity to present the meat for further processing.

    摘要: The present disclosure is generally related to an apparatus having cutter elements for destroying articles such as paper sheets and a mechanism for separating at least a sheet from a stack in a tray. The separation mechanism can be activated by rotation of the cutter elements. In one embodiment, the separation mechanism is provided in the form of a helical mechanism, such as a coil, configured for insertion into the stack and to receive separated sheets from the stack in between its space(s) as it is rotated. The separated sheets can fall via gravity into the shredder mechanism. Optionally, a paper feed mechanism can feed separated paper to the cutter elements. The tray can include an edge to assist in directing separated paper towards the cutter elements. One or more staple picking support mechanisms can also be provided to assist in separating sheets from a stapled set of pages.

Unshredded material is first coarsely shredded by a coarse shredder. In a coarse shred mode, the coarsely shredded material is routed to a shredded material storage compartment in the vehicle. In a fine shred mode, the coarsely shredded material is finely shredded by a fine shredder, and then routed to the storage compartment. The position of a gate determines whether the system is in the coarse or fine shred mode.

    摘要: An auger feed granulator for comminuting material such as plastic or thin metal is disclosed. The granulator is configured to have a low profile so that it can be conveniently situated under an injection press or the like for receiving the scrap material dropped therefrom. The granulator includes a rotor suitably mounted. The outboard end of the rotor has an auger fastened thereto and in axial alignment therewith. Thus, the rotor and auger both are powered by the same motor and rotate in unison. The auger is situated within an enclosure which has an opening therethrough to permit feeding of the plastic material directly from the injection press to the auger. The auger, in turn, operates to positively advance the material laterally to the cutting chamber in which the rotor is housed where the knives in the rotor, cooperating with one or more bed knives in the cutting chamber cut the material into small particles. The particles are discharged from the cutting chamber and may be recycled to the injection press if desired.
