Abstract: A bulk vending machine having an integrated game of skill includes a base having a chute door and a coin mechanism operatively attached thereto. The bulk vending machine further includes a hopper in which the bulk product is contained, and the hopper is operatively connected to both the coin mechanism and the chute door. The game of skill is connected to the bulk vending machine such that the game of skill is movable relative to the frame of the bulk vending machine. The game of skill includes a playing field in which a game piece is maneuvered in order to satisfy objectives of the game of skill, whereby the consumer may win a prize by completing the objectives of the game.

Abstract: The method is for playing a game by providing each player with a sensor for measuring brain wave frequencies of the players. The player moves a unit on a playing area in an x-direction toward the player when the brain wave frequency of the player is at a first frequency and the brain wave frequency of the player is at a second frequency wherein the first frequency is lower than the second frequency. The player moves the unit in a y-direction perpendicular to the x-direction when the brain wave frequency of the player is at a third frequency and the brain wave frequency of the player is at a fourth frequency wherein the third frequency is greater than the fourth frequency.

Abstract: An intellectual knockdown maze including a plane seat board, several long and short side blocks with different lengths and four groups of L-shaped component blocks. The seat board is disposed with longitudinal and transverse partitioning lines which intersect each other at multiple intersections disposed with insertion holes. Each of the side block and L-shaped component block is formed with an insertion tenon on lower side for inserting into the insertion hole so as to locate the side blocks and component blocks on the seat board. The side blocks serve to form side walls of the maze and the component blocks serve to form partitioning walls of the maze. The lengths of the long and short side blocks are such that two long side blocks are arranged side by side along entire length of one side of the seat board to form a side wall of the maze, while a long side block and a short side block are arranged side by side along one side of the seat board to leave an entrance or an exit notch thereon. Each side block is formed with a slide channel on inner upper edge, whereby a transparent acrylic board corresponding to the seat board is assembled with the side blocks to cover the component blocks and form a close pattern of maze. A steel ball is placed in the maze for a player to shake the seat board so as to roll the steel ball through a desired path to the exit notch.

Abstract: A maze unit containing a user-defined maze path and a ball or marble movable therethrough is disclosed. In one aspect, the top of the maze unit, or part of it, is covered so that the user relies upon verbal instructions provided by a second person who is familiar with or has recorded the internal maze path as to the direction in which to tip or tilt the unit so that the ball or marble follows the correct path to a predetermined exit. In one embodiment two or more maze units are stacked, one on top of the other, with aligned exit and entry holes so that a ball or marble that successfully traverses an upper unit falls into an entry point of a lower unit. In another aspect two or more maze units are interconnected end-to-end on the same level. Methods are disclosed for the use of such mazes in a variety of didactive scenarios.

Abstract: A puzzle consisting of a ball bearing enclosed in a labyrinthian passageway, section of the passageway being unobscured from view by an opaque screen. A closed loop may be traced through the passageway, a section of the closed loop being obscured by the opaque screen. The object of the puzzle is to maneuver the ball bearing through the visually obscured region of the labyrinth from one end of the unobscured region of the closed loop to the other end. Solution of the puzzle requires the utilization of auditory and tactile information as the ball bearing rolls through the labyrinth and strikes the walls of the passageway. Because visual information is suppressed, negotiation of the labyrinth requires considerable visualization ability and mental dexterity, and allows for the design of challenging labyrinth puzzles with a minimum of bulk.

Abstract: A locking device including a labyrinthic passageway through which a ball may be moved until arriving at a position adjacent an associated locking mechanism that is operable solely in response to the presence of the ball. In an exemplary embodiment, the labyrinthic passageway is concealed in the bottom of an open-topped walled container and the locking mechanism is in communication with a sliding plate member employed to close the container. With the plate member in its closed position and the ball placed at a starting location within the passageway, yet away from the locking mechanism, the container cannot be opened until the ball has been encouraged, by spatial manipulation of the container, to negotiate the labyrinth, arrive at a position adjacent the locking mechanism, and operate same solely by the impression of its weight thereupon.

Abstract: A foot operated game apparatus for moving a ball element through a maze. The game apparatus includes a base frame with channels formed therein. A cover plate is mounted to an upper surface of the base frame and permits an operator to stand on the apparatus. A resilient member is secured to a lower surface of the base frame. As the operator applies pressure to a specific area of the cover plate, the resilient member is compressively displaced in that area and the base frame tilts. By manipulating foot pressure on various areas of the cover plate, the operator may tilt the apparatus in a predetermined direction to guide the ball through a predetermined path within the channels.

Abstract: A game box includes a game box having a maze as part of its structure. A game ball is adapted to traverse the maze from a start position to a finish position in response to manipulation of the game box by a player. A transparent top wall encloses the game ball within the game box and enables the maze and game ball to be viewed by the player. An opaque cover is selectively movable from a first position, wherein the maze and game ball may be viewed by the player, to a second position wherein the maze and game ball are hidden from the view of the player. A schematic representation of the maze is inscribed on the opaque cover and may be viewed by the player when the cover is in the second position to aid the player in manipulating the game ball from the start position to the finish position when the maze and game ball are hidden from view.

Abstract: The structure of the Game is an elevated stand having a top section and opposed flat sides below the same. Each side is adapted for play by one or two players, the top section having two chutes for discs or similar playing objects leading to an appropriate one of the sides for progressive reception in peripheral cavities of a succession of manually operated wheels. Each wheel is connected for rotation with a wheel on the opposite side of the elevated stand, and the wheel cavities at one side of the stand are offset from those on the opposite side. Each wheel carries a finger piece for rotation thereof, and when an overhead wheel has its peripheral cavity in register with an immediately under wheel, the disc or allied playing object will fall into the under wheel, and so on until the playing object is discharged from the lowermost wheel. In the embodiment illustrated two chutes are shown at each side of the top section, enabling play by four but two can play, as opposed, one at each side of the stand.
