    Abstract: Disclosed is an exercise device having an elongated body, a slot formed length-wise in the body, the slot having an undercut portion on each side, a plurality of holes in slot for receiving one of a plurality of fasteners, an exercise accessory having a connecting member, and a head of the connecting member, the head sized to be received in the slot of the body and configured to be slidably retained in the slot. The slot can have undercut portions. The undercut portions can have locking features. The head of the connecting member can have complimentary locking features. A tightening member can fix the connecting member in a position in the slot. The elongated body can have a cutout for receiving the head of the connecting member.

    Abstract: A foldable exercise device for performing chin up and pull up exercises has a first member having a hinge joint and a second member having a hinge joint. The device also has third and fourth L shaped members connected to the first and second members, with the fourth L member being spaced from the third L member. The first and second members pivot about a hinge joint from a folded configuration to an extended configuration. The third and fourth L shaped members extend from a folded configuration to an extended configuration about their respective hinged joints. The exercise device is transformed from a compact form when the third and fourth L shaped members are moved from the folded configuration to an extended configuration in a first position and separated in a second position to extend the first and second members from a folded to an extended position.

    Abstract: A portable support system that utilizes a doorway frame to allow a person to perform various inversion exercises without any modification or marring to the doorway frame and also without the use of gravity boots (ankle device U.S. Pat. No. 3,380,447 granted to Martin). Previous patented door frame support systems (U.S. Pat. No. 3,738,650 granted to Ossenkop et al, and U.S. Pat. No. 4,458,894 granted to Dudley) have required modifications to the door frame, such as mounting brackets screwed into the frame. The person also has to possess gravity boots (ankle device U.S. Pat. No. 3,380,447 granted to Martin) in order to perform inverted exercises. This invention eliminates both of these problems.

    Abstract: An exercise apparatus in this disclosure includes a doorway mountable runner restraint device. The device has a generally rigid, preferably padded, belly pad that is placed against and in front of a user's pelvis and abdominal area. A pair of cords are attached to the belly pad, each having an opposite end attached to an elastic member. Each of the elastic members is, in turn, attached to an anchor which is removably fastened to a door, a doorway frame, or sandwiched between a closed door and the doorway frame. A user fastens the apparatus in place in a doorway, faces away from the doorway, and places the belly pad against his or her torso directly over the pelvis area, and then runs in a direction away from the doorway. The elastic members resist and restrain the user from substantial movement away from the doorway but stretch to allow forward running movement.

    Abstract: An exercise apparatus comprising an elongate support member, an exercise attachment, a frame member, and lateral arm supports is provided.
