摘要： A propulsion system for a manual wheelchair includes a mounting clamp and a propulsion drive unit having a drive wheel assembly and a support suspension. The support suspension is configured to provide linear movement of the drive wheel and drive hub assembly relative to the manual wheelchair. The support suspension includes a linear bearing and slide member assembly having at least one linear bearing and a slide member for accommodating the linear movement of the drive wheel assembly and further includes a resilient suspension member that provides a tractive effort force to the drive wheel. The drive wheel assembly is supported on a carriage that is attached to one of the at least one linear bearing or the slide member and a mounting block is attached to the other. The mounting block has a clamp interface with a locating tab that engages a corresponding mounting slot in the mounting clamp.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a portable and attachable power-assisting wheelchair device for non-electrically powered wheelchairs. The power assisting device includes a first motor mechanically coupled to a first rotatable end via a first shaft. A first driver is electrically coupled to the first motor and is configured to control a velocity of the first motor. A second motor is mechanically coupled to a second rotatable end via a second shaft. A second driver is electrically coupled to the second motor, and is configured to control a velocity of the second motor. Fillers are disposed between the rotatable ends and the flexible rings. A controller sends control signals to the first driver and the second driver. The control signals include information representing a first torque, a second torque, and rotational velocities for the first rotatable end and the second rotatable end.

摘要： Drifting karts in accordance with embodiments of the invention are described that include a front wheel drive train and rear caster wheels that can be dynamically engaged to induce and control drift during a turn. One embodiment of the invention includes a chassis to which a steering column is mounted, where the steering column includes at least one front steerable wheel configured to be driven by an electric motor, a battery housing mounted to the chassis, where the battery housing contains a controller and at least one battery, wiring configured to provide power from the at least one battery to the electric motor, two caster wheels mounted to the chassis, where each caster wheel is configured to rotate around a rotational axis and swivel around a swivel axis, and a hand lever configured to dynamically engage the caster wheels to induce and control drift during a turn.
