摘要: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a catheter assembly and a handle assembly that can be removably coupled to the catheter assembly. A valve holding tube defines a lumen configured to receive a prosthetic mitral valve in a compressed configuration and can be removably coupled to a distal end portion of the handle assembly. The valve holding tube can be received within a hub of the catheter assembly when coupled to the handle assembly. The actuator when actuated is configured to cause the tensioning unit to travel along a traveler strap of the catheter assembly moving the handle assembly distally such that a distal end of an elongate shaft of the handle assembly moves the prosthetic mitral valve distally out of the valve holding tube and out a distal end of the sheath such that the prosthetic mitral valve is free to move to a biased expanded configuration.

摘要: Certain embodiments of the present disclosure provide a prosthetic valve (e.g., prosthetic heart valve) and a valve delivery apparatus for delivery of the prosthetic valve to a native valve site via the human vasculature. The prosthetic valve comprises a frame or stent that comprises multiple cells arranged in unique ways. The prosthetic valve also comprises a leaflet assembly coupled to the frame and having a plurality of leaflets, wherein the leaflets are configured to allow blood to flow through the prosthetic heart valve in one direction from an inflow end portion to an outflow end portion of the frame or stent.

摘要: A pre-loaded stent graft delivery device and stent graft, the stent graft delivery device. The stent graft has at least one fenestration or side arm and the fenestration is preloaded with an indwelling guide wire. The indwelling guide wire are configured to receive the access sheaths. A handle assembly at a distal end of the guide wire catheter. The handle includes a multiport manifold with access ports to the auxiliary lumens in the pusher catheter. Upon deployment of the stent graft into the vasculature of a patient, the indwelling guide wire can be used to facilitate cathertization of a side branch or target vessel through the fenestration or be used to stabilize the access sheath during catheterization, advancement of the access sheath into the target vessel and deployment of a covered or uncovered stent therein through the access sheath.

摘要: Devices and methods for providing localized pressure to a region of a patient's heart to improve heart functioning, including: (a) a jacket made of a flexible biocompatible material, the jacket having an open top end that is received around the heart and a bottom portion that is received around the apex of the heart; and (b) at least one inflatable bladder disposed on an interior surface of the jacket, the inflatable bladder having an inelastic outer surface positioned adjacent to the jacket and an elastic inner surface such that inflation of the bladder causes the bladder to deform substantially inwardly to exert localized pressure against a region of the heart.

摘要: An introducer for providing access to a surgical site in a patient includes a sheath having an interior diameter that is expandable from a reduced diameter configuration to an increased diameter configuration. The introducer may be inserted into and removed from the patient while the sheath is in the reduced diameter configuration to minimize trauma to the patient's vasculature. Once inserted into the patient's vasculature, the sheath may be expanded to the expanded diameter configuration to allow for secondary devices, such as delivery devices, to be passed through the interior of the sheath. The sheath may include a frame having a mechanism to enable it to expand or collapse. The frame mechanisms may include coiled wires, flexible rings, spine structures with deflectable ribs, non-auxetic expandable and collapsible cellular patterns, and auxetic expandable and collapsible cellular patterns.

摘要: A delivery system for delivering an endovascular prosthesis is disclosed. A handle assembly is disposed at the distal end of the delivery system. The handle assembly includes a main handle and a second handle disposed at least partially on the main handle and longitudinally moveable relative to the main handle. A trigger wire release mechanism is disposed in the interior or the main handle. A sheath is operatively connected to the second handle, such that longitudinal movement of the second handle relative to the main handle retracts the sheath in a distal direction. Movement of the trigger wire release mechanism from a first position to a second deployed position is prevented when the sheath is in the first position. Methods for accessing the iliac arteries and deploying an endovascular prosthesis therein using the delivery system and handle assembly are also disclosed.

摘要: A prosthesis delivery device and method are described herein. An elongate sheath extends about a longitudinal axis, and a hub is coupled to the sheath. A handle is distal to the hub, and a connector assembly is coupled to a proximal end of the handle. The connector assembly is removably coupled to the hub, and the connector assembly includes a longitudinal passageway defined therein in communication with the longitudinal hub lumen. In one aspect, the connector assembly includes a plurality of jaw elements, and an actuating ring operable to move the jaw elements between the attachment configuration where the jaw elements are coupled to the hub, and the detachment configuration where the jaw elements are radially displaced and decoupled from the hub to remove a component from the sheath lumen.
