Abstract:
A stopper has an elongated body and a cap that detaches from one end. The body has a seal proximate the cap for engaging a drain ring. The cap can have various decorations upon its upper surface such as logos, team mascots, and patterns applied by painting or waterproof durable adhesive label. The decorative attachment device has a cap that separates from the body with a male button within a chamber at the end of the body. The cap has a cooperating female button on its lower surface. Another embodiment has the cap separate from the body, hook and loop fastener, and a centered aperture. The cap has female loop fastener and a centered pin depending beneath the cap. The pin engages the aperture to align the cap to the body. Alternatively, the cap has a magnetic link to the body.
Abstract:
A drain stopper assembly for a bathtub having a drain aperture, and a method for using the assembly. A guide rod may be slid within a guide slide, allowing a gasket to be sealed or unsealed against the drain aperture. Magnets or, alternatively, a spring-loaded mechanism, may be used to facilitate sealing/unsealing of the gasket. A filter may be mounted within the drain aperture, and be removably or permanently attached to the assembly.
Abstract:
A device used to conceal at least a portion of a wastewater strainer associated with a bathtub. More specifically, a plate having an opening therethrough is used to overlap a flange of the wastewater strainer wherein the opening in the plate generally coincides with an opening in the wastewater strainer so that the bathtub drain is unobstructed. The plate may include a downwardly extending lip to help facilitate orientation onto the flange of the wastewater strainer. The plate conceals the wastewater strainer, thereby facilitating reconfiguration of a bathtub as the existing wastewater strainer need not be removed and the plumbing system retested.
Abstract:
A sink plug arrangement comprises a first permanent magnet arranged to counteract movement of a sink plug within a sink outlet, wherein said sink plug is movable between a first and second state relative the sink outlet. A second permanent magnet arranged to, in the second state, repel the first magnet. A well-defined position is thereby achieved without any moving parts in the sink plug.
Abstract:
A stopper assembly for a drain system of a fluid basin is provided. The stopper head assembly includes a stopper head having a seal to sealingly engage the drain system of the fluid basin when the stopper assembly is moved from a drain position to a plug position and a strainer to strain fluid passing through the drain system when the stopper head is in a drain position. The stopper head assembly further includes a stopper body operably coupleable to a control element to move the assembly between the drain position and the plug position. The stopper body may be detachably coupled to the stopper head and/or the strainer to enable selective removal of the stopper head and the strainer from the stopper body when the stopper body is installed for use and coupled to the control element. Related methods, systems and components are also provided.
Abstract:
A sink overflow hole plug can include a plug body defining an interior chamber, and at least one protuberance extending into the chamber, wherein the protuberance is configured to be received by an external aperture of an overflow prevention channel of a drainage system of a plumbing fixture.
Abstract:
An illuminatable drain plug for use in residential or commercial water receptacles communicating with a drain pipe. The drain plug includes a base having a top, a bottom, and a cylindrical sidewall extending between the top and bottom. A circular elastomeric sealing means extends outwardly from the cylindrical sidewall of the base and adapted to fit within the drain pipe in water sealing engagement therewith. A light chimney extends upwardly from the top of the base. A light source and means for actuating the light source is located within the base. Upon actuation the light source communicates its light with the light chimney and/or base and is emitted therefrom.
Abstract:
A drain system includes a basin and a drain, where a first one of the basin and the drain comprises at least two substantially inflexible protrusions and a second one of the basin and the drain forms at least two apertures. The protrusions and apertures form male-female connections that facilitate positioning and anchoring of the drain in the basin. Further, stoppers/strainer and ball valves for limiting or ceasing water flow through a drain are disclosed. The stoppers/strainers and quarter turn valves may be switch-activated and moved into position by electricity, water pressure, air pressure and the like.
Abstract:
A foot-actuated drain stopper is provided that is interconnected to a strainer of a wastewater outlet of a bathtub. The foot-actuated drain stopper is interconnected to the strainer by way of an adapter that includes a hub that receives a carrier on which the foot-actuated stopper travels.
