Abstract:
An integrated fountain and vase assembly for increasing longevity of blooms of cut flowers includes a vessel, which has a top that is open and a bottom that is both closed and substantially planar. A plate attached to an inner perimeter of the vessel defines a reservoir for water. A monument is attached to and extends upwardly from the plate. An opening in the plate allows for insertion of stems of plants into the water. A water pump in the reservoir pumps the water through a tube that opens proximate to an upper end of the monument. The water exits the tube and enters a fluidic path, which extends between the tube and the opening and which has at least a segment that extends along an exterior surface of the monument. The water thus is aerated and rendered resistant to formation of algae.
Abstract:
A scented flower writing utensil arrangement has a vase, an artificial floral arrangement, a quantity of simulated water medium, a scented core, a writing utensil holder, and a plurality of decorative writing utensils. The quantity of simulated water medium is a self-curing agent at the base of the vase within which the stems of the artificial floral arrangement are affixed. The scented core and the writing utensil holder are disguised within the artificial floral arrangement. The scented core is a sponge or similar material to which scented oil is applied. Each of the plurality of decorative writing utensils has a flower end opposite the writing end, and is placed into the writing utensil holder.
Abstract:
Provided is an inner receptacle apparatus for locating within a larger open-ended outer container, the inner receptacle apparatus comprising: a receptacle body for receiving cut flowers; and one or more adjustable attachment members for locating the receptacle body within the outer container.
Abstract:
Double-walled decorative articles such as flower vases and candle holders comprise an inner form defining a receptacle and an outer form, spaced apart from the inner form, to create a cavity. A bottom opening in the outer form enables decorative filler materials to be introduced to the cavity such that the decorative materials do not enter into the receptacle, which may contains flowers, water, candles, hot wax or other substances. A removably replaceable plug or cap is used to close off the bottom opening following the introduction of the decorative filler materials. The inner and outer forms may be provided as a unitary item or separate pieces may be joined. The decorative filler materials may be provided in conjunction with the article as part of a kit, in which case the amount of filler material is matched to the volume of the cavity.
Abstract:

The first end of the elongated shaft provided with a graduated female opening. The second end of the elongated shaft provided with a graduated male end. The stem extension comprises an exterior surface. A portion of the exterior surface comprises a course textured finish. The elongated shaft of the stem extension further comprises a one or more fins and veins arranged between the first end and the second end. The graduated male end comprises a one or more external diameters each separated from one another by a male shoulder. The graduated female receiving opening comprises a one or more internal diameters each separated from one another by a female shoulder. The graduated female opening comprises a first inside diameter and a second inside diameter.
Abstract:
The floral vase anchor is preferably formed from a single strip of plastic or metal, and includes a tri-planar surface, wherein the central portion includes a series of notches on either side, and upper and lower sections extend at obtuse angles away from the plane of the central portion. The upper section and lower section each include floral insert slots at the distal ends thereof for receiving the stems from a floral arrangement. In use, a florist may insert the stems into the floral insert slots until the stems are positioned within the rounded portion of the slots. Then rubber bands may be used to secure the stems to the anchor, and the assembly may be placed into a vase. A securing mechanism may be used to fix the anchor to the vase, and may also be used to secure the vase to the ground or a monument.
Abstract:
The present disclosure includes an apparatus and method of use to facilitate storing, conserving and exhibition of fresh flowers particularly where the flowers originate in country such as Columbia and are internationally shipped to a country such as the United States and doing so while the flowers are maintained completely hydrated. Hydration is accomplished by placing fresh flowers stems into florists' foam which is soaked to make hydration continuously available to the fresh flowers during storage shipment and exhibition. Thus there is no water to leak from the packaging and no need to maintain the shipping container in a vertical upright position. The packaging further includes perforations so the fresh flowers can breath while being stored and in transit and the packaging includes a stand for exhibition of the flowers at a convenient and attractive height of about waist high when the fresh flowers arrive at a retailer having no special equipment or personnel for the care of perishables. The exhibition box contained within the shipping container is equipped with a custom symmetric geometric shaped opening for firm support of the bucket containing the fresh flowers and soaked florists' foam. The disclosure further includes a series of steps for opening the shipping container, discarding packaging material and placing the bucket of fresh flowers into the top of the exhibition box. Finally, the method includes the optional step of adding water to the bucket.
Abstract:
An objective is to provide a vase-shaped device, a light wall device, and a system which accentuate the beauty of flowers by implementing “interactive flower arrangement” in which the color of the vase-shaped device and that of a space around the vase-shaped device change according to the color of the arranged flowers so as to entertain users. To achieve the above objective, provided is a vase-shaped device including light-emitting devices as an output unit configured to output a signal as controlled.
Abstract:
The invention is directed toward a spill- and leak-proof container for floriculture items including cut flowers, stems, other horticultural items, and the like. More specifically, the invention includes a receptacle having funnel-like primary closure. The funnel-like primary closure includes a wider opening generally adjacent to and contiguous with the mouth of the receptacle. The narrower opening of the funnel-like primary closure is positioned in the interior of the receptacle. A secondary closure atop the wider opening of the primary closure ensures no liquid can spill.
