    Abstract: A horizontal knife holder is a tray that can be used in a kitchen drawer or outside. The holder has two sides, a back, a bottom, a scalloped front, and a top portion that covers the back of the tray. Under the top portion is a plastic wire brush with a large number of stiff bristles, into which knives can be removably inserted. The tray has a soft bottom to protect users' knuckles, and the scalloped front allows for easy access to the knives.

    Abstract: A modular storage apparatus includes an expandable frame adjustably expandable to fit a storage space in an existing cabinet. The frame has adjustable-width cross members and uprights defining U-shapes, extendable glides attached to the uprights, and an expandable pullout module operably mounted on the glides for movement. The pullout module includes right and left half-basket portions connected by connectors permitting lateral expansion. The connectors may define discrete width adjustments, or may permit infinite adjustment (within the range of adjustment permitted).

    Abstract: Provided are combinations useful for stowage and retrieval of various wares and utensils. A combination according to the disclosure is especially well-suited for use within a cabinet, such as within a kitchen environment. The disclosure provides a slidable support base upon the top surface of which a plurality of retaining portions may be readily disposed, to create spaces within which a ware or utensil may be rigidly located. The slidable support base may be pulled out to gain access to the wares stored on the platform. A combination according to the disclosure makes efficient use of cabinet space with respect to prior art stowage means, and provides for the wares to be disposed in such fashion that their retrieval is prompt and convenient.
