摘要: A helmet for rotational energy management can include an outer energy management layer comprising an outer surface and an inner surface opposite the outer surface. The inner surface can comprise a first slidable finish comprising a first glaze comprising a thickness less than or equal to 2 millimeters (mm). An inner energy management layer can be disposed within the outer energy management layer and further comprise an outer surface oriented towards the outer energy management layer and an inner surface opposite the outer surface. The outer surface can comprise a second slidable finish that directly contacts the first slidable finish. The second slidable finish can comprise a second glaze comprising a thickness less than or equal to 2 mm. A space between the first slidable finish and the second slidable finish can be devoid of a lubricant and devoid of any interstitial slip layer.

摘要: To be manufactured, formed and operated in much different and diverse fashion as compared to conventional motorsport helmets is a strong yet flexible and lightweight safety “helmet.” Comprising a “shell,” and several manually operated “components”. To be incorporated onto said shell are numerous actuating and/or fixed mechanisms with inherent safety aspects meant to increase the comfort, peripheral vision and facilitate the overall safety of the wearer. This multiplicity of independent components is also designed to protect the user's head and cranium and to reduce the violent sudden rotational forces encountered after impact. One aspect consists of a solid, continuous and unbroken “Shell.” The shell comprises a number of curves and concave segments with several other significant distinguishable design details meant to improve the overall aerodynamics of the shell. Other components include a “main external visor” and a secondary “inner visor” that actuate in multi-step processes. Aerodynamic rear and side “spoilers/elevations”, a rear “stabilizing/grab bar” for rotational force attenuation and two air “centrally mounted intake ducts”/“exhaust vents” for wearer ventilation are components that would normally be attached to this shell via commercially available adhesives and or fittings. A flush convergence of parts and components designed to work in balanced form. Presented is a much more low-profile product with a much smaller cross section in comparison to the given norm. The end result is a revolutionary product in both function and form.

摘要: A process of manufacturing the main body of a bike helmet is disclosed, where its process comprises the following steps: (I.) coating with base layer resin: that is, uniformly coat the entire shock absorbing liner with a base layer resin; (II.) coating with protective layer resin: uniformly coat the base layer resin with a protective layer resin to form a shell; (III.) transferring pattern: transfer the pattern to print on the shell; (IV.) clear coating: spray clear coating on the pattern; by means of the aforesaid steps of the process, the shock absorbing liner and the shell are able to join tightly, which enables to solidify the helmet for better durability, to prolong the years of use, to substantially lower the production cost, and to boost the yield rate.

摘要: A protective headgear conforming to a person's head and capable of absorbing energy. The headgear is constructed of a base member of resilient foam and pad members are secured to the resilient foam. The entire headgear is covered with tough pliable surface casing. The headgear defines a front opening which is generally contoured and shaped to conform with the periphery of a person's eyes and extending downward along the cheek area to expose the chin and neck and two ear openings. A pair of cross members formed on the top of the headgear retain the headgear on a person's head and define ventilation openings.

摘要: A protective helmet having an internal integral layer of reflective material and the method of constructing the same is disclosed. A first layer of catalyzed clear gel coat is sprayed under pressure into a helmet mold and allowed to dry. A second fog layer of clear gel coat is sprayed over the first layer to form a tacky surface upon which small double sided reflective chips can be sprinkled and brushed flat. The second gel coat is then dried thoroughly. A third backing layer of clear gel coat containing metal flakes is then sprayed over the second layer and completely dried. A layer of saturated fiber-glass mat is applied over the third layer to seal in the reflective chips and to eliminate any air pockets. Layers of fiberglass cloth are then applied over the mat and the fiberglass is completely dried. The helmet is popped from the mold, sanded and finished.
