摘要： A blade position sensing system for a garden tool is provided. The system includes a driveshaft coupled to one or more blades of a blade assembly. The driveshaft is operably coupled to a motor to selectively rotate the driveshaft relative to a threaded shaft and translate the driveshaft along a linear direction. The driveshaft and the threaded shaft are coupled to one another at a threaded interface. Linear translation of the driveshaft angularly translates one or more blades of the blade assembly. A magnet is coupled to the driveshaft. A proximity sensor is positioned in magnetic communication with the driveshaft. A change in distance between the proximity sensor and the driveshaft changes an output voltage by the proximity sensor.

At least one regulating mechanism is fixed to the frame, is associated with at least one actuator, and is designed to regulate at least the direction along which a force is exerted by at least one associated actuator.

In a third embodiment, the rear portion is bent at an angle of between 10 degrees and 30 degrees with respect to the front portion. In a fourth embodiment, the rear portion is bent at an angle of 20 degrees with respect to the front portion.

摘要： A horticultural or agricultural cutting device is disclosed which comprises a body (4), a rotor (20) rotatably coupled to the body, at least one cutter (54), (56) which rotates along with the rotor and extends radially to the axis of rotation, and a powered drive (eg. an electric motor (40)) which drives the rotor and cutter. The rotor provides a collection surface (58). (60) which follows the cutter as it rotates and so serves to collect cut material. The rotor is formed such as to expel the cut material centrifugally and the body provides a roughly tangential collection channel away from the rotor along which the collected material is thereby propelled. The collection channel is led to a waste receptacle.

摘要： A hand-held rotary trimmer comprises a removable multi-piece shroud for covering a drive shaft and rotary cutter of the trimmer. The shroud includes an opening for feeding vegetation to the rotary cutter and an expulsion duct extending in a direction generally tangential to a rotational direction of the rotary cutter. In the preferred embodiment, the shroud includes three pieces formed of molded plastic. A first piece of the shroud has a hood portion and a first half-collar portion integrally formed with the hood portion. A second piece of the shroud has a second half-collar portion removably attached to the first half-collar portion of the first piece for releasably clamping the shroud on the trimmer housing and a flange portion integrally formed with the second half-collar portion and arranged to be flush against the hood portion of the first piece. A third piece of the shroud is ring-shaped and attaches to a bottom end of the hood portion, thereby defining the area of the opening through which vegetation is fed to the rotary cutter. Each of the three pieces is preferably formed of lightweight molded plastic to minimize user muscle fatigue.
