摘要： A land-clearing implement configured to be attached to a small earth-moving machine, such as a skid loader. The land-clearing device has a pusher assembly with telescopically extendable actuator arms that are operated by a hydraulic auxiliary source accessible from the interior of the earthmoving machine. When the actuator arms are extended, the forward end of the pusher assembly applies a pushing force on the trunk of a tree, pushing the tree until uprooted. The pusher assembly is supported by a mounting bracket that rests on the ground and provides stability to the pusher assembly. A pair of opposing grabber arms with C-shaped hooks is secured to the pusher assembly by pivoting securing rods. The grabber arms partially encircle and the C-shaped hooks dig into the root ball of the tree to provide stability as the pusher assembly is engaged.

The tree processing vehicle also comprises an operator cabin comprising a front side, a rear side, and a pair of lateral sides between the front side and the rear side. A first one of the lateral sides defines an access opening allowing an operator to enter or exit the operator cabin. The operator cabin also comprises a door for closing the access opening and a set of controls for allowing the operator to control the tree processing vehicle. The tree processing vehicle also comprises a pair of arms pivotally movable across a range of angular positions. The range of angular positions includes a first angular position in which a first one of the arms extends across at least part of the access opening and a second angular position in which the first one of the arms clears the access opening thereby allowing the door to be opened or closed.

摘要： A method to pot field-grown evergreen or hard-to-transplant trees and shrubs involving container growing, digging, and potting procedures. After a tree or shrub reaches nearly salable size in the field, hollow cylinder is pushed in the ground so that the major root system is contained in the cylinder. The cylinder is left in the soil for 4-12 months until new root system establishes in the cylinder. Shortly before shipping, the cylinder is dug with the roots and soil intact and inserted in a cylindrical pot, thus containing a ready-to-plant tree or shrub in a double-wall cylindrical pot.

摘要： An upstanding staff including a laterally outwardly projecting footrest above its lower end. The staff is designed to be forced down into soft ground by foot pressure applied to the foot rest with the undersurface of the foot rest limiting downward penetration of the lower end of the staff into the ground. The lower end of the staff is formed to engage the root end of a seedling disposed horizontally on the ground prior to downward penetration of the staff into the ground, whereby the staff will carry the seedling root end down into the ground as it penetrates the latter. Also, the lower end of the staff includes a shrouded vertically reciprocal cutting member which may be downwardly projected below the lower end of the staff after penetration of the latter in the ground for cutting the root end of the seedling prior to upward withdrawal of the staff from the ground.
