摘要: A clamp pad is provided for being selectively mounted to each jaw of a bar clamp assembly. The clamp pad can be easily mounted to the clamp jaw and radially locked in place with respect to the bar clamp assembly. In an embodiment of the invention, the clamp pad is configured to selectively be fit on either of the clamp jaws of the bar clamp assembly to facilitate assembly. The clamp pad defines a substantially increased clamping area to evenly distribute force and prevent damage to the associated workpiece. The increased dimensions of the clamp pad also stabilizes the bar clamp assembly, which eliminates tipping and thus eliminates the need for associated assemblies such as clamp saddles and the like.

摘要: A plug cutter has a main body portion having a longitudinal axis, shank portion extending axially from one end of the main body, and a plurality of blades extending axially from an opposite end of the main body. The blades are formed so that at least a portion of the inner surfaces thereof have a measure of radial relief with respect to the leading edges of the blades. A radial distance from the axis of rotation of the plug cutter to the leading edge of each blade is always less than the radial distance from the axis of rotation to any other portion of the inner surface. Accordingly, when a plug is being cut with the plug cutter, a gap is defined between an outer surface of the plug and the radially relieved portion of the inner surfaces.

摘要: A workpiece support that presents a generally planar workpiece contacting surface having high friction, gripping pad(s) that will not mar a workpiece surface, and thus provides a versatile accessory for home hobbyists and artisans alike that protects the supported surface of the workpiece. By providing a non-marring workpiece support, such as that illustrated in FIGS. 1, 8 and 13, to support a workpiece with respect to a work bench surface, the workpiece can be kept from slipping while routing, sanding, carving and the like. It can elevate workpieces for edge work and finishing, or simply suspend and protect projects from marring during drying or between work sessions.

摘要: A method of installing a piping system, including applying mark(s) to a surface along a line parallel to a desired center line of the piping system; selecting a plurality of pipe mounting brackets, each pipe mounting bracket including a mounting portion and a pipe supporting portion projecting from said mounting portion and including an arm portion having a generally arched surface sized and extending to support at least a portion of an outer circumferential surface of a pipe and thereby defining a pipe receiving receptacle. Each mounting portion includes a predetermined, indicator part disposed at a predetermined lateral and vertical position with respect to a radial center of a circular part of the arched surface of the respective bracket. The indicator part of each selected bracket is aligned with the mark(s) and the mounting portion of the bracket is fastened to the surface with the fastener.

摘要: A depth stop is provided that is selectively attachable to a cutting tool at an operator-selected location. The end of the depth stop that comes into contact with a work piece during operation is covered with a rotating cap. The cap prevents the work piece from being marred because the cap stops rotating when it comes into contact with the work piece while the cutting tool and the rest of the depth stop continue to rotate. The cap is rotatably mounted on the depth stop by a flange that engages a groove formed in the depth stop. An annular ring is provided between the cap and the end of the depth stop body to facilitate the rotatability of the cap with respect to the body.
