摘要： A method and system for browsing and ordering from product catalogs via the Internet is disclosed. When a customer requests a catalog page, a low resolution image of the requested page is first provided to the customer. The size of the computer file corresponding to the page is reduced to be as small as possible, while still allowing products imaged on the page to be recognized. When a customer clicks on a hyperlink in the form of a blocked area in the low resolution image catalog page corresponding to a particular product, a more detailed presentation for that product is built from stored files which include a high resolution picture of the product, a headline file identifying the product, a copy file describing the product, and an order block data file providing detailed information for ordering the product. By initially providing low resolution images for requested catalog pages, such pages can be quickly downloaded to a customer's computer.

A customer who is interested in only certain products included in a company's Internet product catalog can create a Custom Catalog that includes information about only those products in which the customer is interested. The customer provides certain identifying information, including the customer's e-mail address and a password that is linked to the e-mail address. Once the Custom Catalog is created, the customer can browse the company products displayed at the website and add them to his Custom Catalog. The purchaser can select products in the Custom Catalog and view detailed images of the selected products that include pricing and purchasing information for the products. The customer can also delete from his Custom Catalog those products no longer of interest.

摘要： A method of installing a piping system, including applying mark(s) to a surface along a line parallel to a desired center line of the piping system; selecting a plurality of pipe mounting brackets, each pipe mounting bracket including a mounting portion and a pipe supporting portion projecting from said mounting portion and including an arm portion having a generally arched surface sized and extending to support at least a portion of an outer circumferential surface of a pipe and thereby defining a pipe receiving receptacle. Each mounting portion includes a predetermined, indicator part disposed at a predetermined lateral and vertical position with respect to a radial center of a circular part of the arched surface of the respective bracket. The indicator part of each selected bracket is aligned with the mark(s) and the mounting portion of the bracket is fastened to the surface with the fastener.

摘要： A plug cutter is described that is rotatable about an axis of rotation. the plug cutter has a main body having a longitudinal axis coinciding with the axis of rotation. The main body defines a bore extending axially therein. A shank extends axially from one end of the main body along the axis of rotation. A plurality of cutting blades extend axially from the opposite end of the main body and each terminate in a distal end. The plurality of blades are adapted to cut a plug from a piece of stock as the plug cutter is rotated about the axis of rotation and advanced axially into the piece of stock. Each of the blades has leading and trailing edges. Each of the blades also has an inner surface and a radially relieved portion facing the bore. The radially relieved portion begins at a relief start position and ends at a relief end position so that, as the plug cutter cuts the plug, a gap is defined between an outer surface of the plug being cut and the radially relieved portion. The plug cutter also includes a plug ejecting portion extending through the main body to permit removal of the plug from the plug cutter. Finally, the bore may be tapered inwardly or outwardly from the blades to the main body.

摘要： An attachment that allows a drilling machine, such as a drill press, to simultaneously bore the plurality of holes required for mounting a hardware component to a workpiece. In an exemplary embodiment, the attachment is adapted to simultaneously bore, in a desired disposition, all three holes needed to mount European style hinges in a single stroke. The hinge boring attachment includes a drilling head, which attaches to the chuck of the drilling machine. The drilling head rotatably supports a plurality of boring bit mounting shafts, corresponding to the number of holes to be drilled and interconnected with drive trains for translating the rotation of a center shaft, attached to the chuck of the drilling machine, to all shafts. A stabilizing arm is further preferably provided to clamp the drilling head to the support post of the drill press and roll smoothly along the support post during the drilling operation.

摘要： A depth stop is provided that is selectively attachable to a cutting tool at an operator-selected location. The end of the depth stop that comes into contact with a work piece during operation is covered with a rotating cap. The cap prevents the work piece from being marred because the cap stops rotating when it comes into contact with the work piece while the cutting tool and the rest of the depth stop continue to rotate. The cap is rotatably mounted on the depth stop by a flange that engages a groove formed in the depth stop. An annular ring is provided between the cap and the end of the depth stop body to facilitate the rotatability of the cap with respect to the body.

摘要： A turner holds a wood blank while positioning it adjacent a cutting bit of a router to cut the blank into a shaped cylindrical object. The turner includes a mandrel and two mandrel wheels attachable to ends of the mandrel, which each have finger gripping portions. A wood block is disposed on the mandrel and the wheels are attached to the mandrel. Spacers may be used to position the wood block. The mandrel/wood block assembly is then moved adjacent a cutting bit, such as a router bit, to remove wood from the wood block. This enables generally cylindrically shaped objects to be formed which may then be polished and finished and used in pens, mechanical pencils, handles and like holders.
