摘要: A method is shown for forming a high solids reactive lime slurry from quicklime. The timely addition of a carbohydrate and antiscalant polymer to slaking water provides desirable degree of control over the rate of reaction in which the heat of reaction is moderated to ensure the antiscalant polymer remains intact, thereby producing a fine quicklime slurry with low and stable viscosity.

摘要: A pyro-metallurgical process for producing at least one non-ferrous metal or a compound thereof, wherein said metal is selected from the group consisting of arsenic (As), antimony (Sb), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), silver (Ag), tin (Sn), nickel (Ni), and zinc (Zn), and wherein at least one raw material is fed into a rotary kiln, wherein said at least one raw material comprises at least said metal, and wherein said raw material is heated to produce a volatized material, in which the non-ferrous metal or compound thereof is produced from the volatized material, in which process a magnesium-based additive, is additionally fed in the rotary kiln in an amount of between 0.5 wt. % and 9.5 wt. % relative to the total weight of said raw materials, which magnesium-based additive is heated together with said raw material to produce at least the volatized material and a solid product, thereby counteracting ring formation in the rotary kiln.

摘要: A slag conditioning agent for steel desulfurization is shown which is made by a process in which a dried slag material obtained from a secondary steelmaking process is mixed with quicklime particles. The quicklime particles react with moisture in the slag material to dry the slag material and produce a blend of slag material, hydrated lime and any unreacted quicklime. The blend is then sieved to separate out the hydrated lime. The retained dried fraction after sieving is then mixed with an Al2O3 mass fraction from which the slag conditioning agent can be collected. The slag conditioning agent has an equivalent mass ratio which is between 0.55 and 1.5.

摘要: A method for producing lime or dolime, which includes a calcination step for the calcination of calcareous or dolomitic material which is brought into contact with the first fumes which are obtained by combustion of fuel with an oxidizing gas, a cooling of calcined lime or dolime with discharge and collection thereof and a release of a gaseous effluent containing CO2. Subsequent processing steps result in the formation of a CaO-based sorbent material with separation between the CaO-based sorbent material and a CO2-concentrated gas stream which is collected. The recycling of said separated CaO-based sorbent material is recycled into a CO2 depletion step resulting in the extraction of a valorizable fraction of the CaCO3—CaO based charge with a compensatory introduction of fresh CaCO3 in the calcination step.

The raw material is heated to produce a volatized material, in which the non-ferrous metal or compound thereof is produced from the volatized material. A magnesium-based additive is additionally fed to the rotary kiln in an amount of between 0.5 wt. % and 9.5 wt. % relative to the total weight of the raw material. The magnesium-based additive is heated together with the raw material to produce the volatized material and a solid product while also counteracting ring formation in the rotary kiln.
