    摘要: A scanning camera for capturing images along two or more curved scan paths, the scanning camera comprising a camera assembly associated with each scan path, each camera assembly comprising an image sensor and a lens; a scanning mirror; and a drive coupled to the scanning mirror; wherein the drive is operative to rotate the scanning mirror about a spin axis according to a spin angle; the spin axis is tilted relative to each camera optical axis; the scanning mirror is tilted relative to the spin axis and each camera optical axis; the scanning mirror is positioned to reflect an imaging beam into each lens in turn; and each image sensor is operative to capture each image along a respective one of the scan paths by sampling the imaging beam at a corresponding spin angle.

    摘要: An imaging system can include a first and second camera configured to capture first and second sets of oblique images along first and second scan paths, respectively, on an object area. A drive is coupled to a scanning mirror structure, having at least one mirror surface, and configured to rotate the structure about a scan axis based on a scan angle. The first and second cameras each have an optical axis set at an oblique angle to the scan axis and include a respective lens to focus first and second imaging beams reflected from the mirror surface to an image sensor located in each of the cameras. The first and second imaging beams captured by their respective cameras can vary according to the scan angle. Each of the image sensors captures respective sets of oblique images by sampling the imaging beams at first and second values of the scan angle.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed relating to acquisition of images regarding large area objects or large areas. In one exemplary embodiment, there is provided a method of obtaining or capturing, via a first system that includes one or more first image capturing devices, overview images, wherein the overview images depict first areas, as well as obtaining or capturing, via a second system that includes a plurality of image capturing devices, detail images characterized as being related to each other along an image axis. Moreover, the detail images may depict second areas that are subsets of the first areas, they may be arranged in strips parallel to the image axis, and they may have a higher resolution than corresponding portions of the first images.

    摘要: A scanning camera includes a camera assembly associated with curved scan paths. Each camera assembly includes an image sensor and a lens, and has a camera optical axis. Also included are a scanning mirror, and a drive to rotate the scanning mirror about a spin axis, which is tilted relative to the camera optical axis, according to a spin angle. The scanning mirror is tilted relative to the spin axis. For each camera assembly, the scanning mirror is tilted relative to the camera optical axis, and is positioned to reflect an imaging beam into the lens. A viewing angle and a viewing direction of the imaging beam relative to the object plane varies with the spin angle and a pointing direction of the camera optical axis. Each lens focuses the imaging beam onto its respective image sensor, which captures each image along a respective scan path.
