摘要: Embodiments of the present invention utilize mobile devices to provide information on a user's behaviors during transportation. For example, a mobile device carried by a user can be used to detect and analyze driving behaviors during trips in vehicles. The mobile device can further be used to assign and display scores relating to the driving behaviors, scores for individual trips, and an overall driving score for the particular user.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods for determining a route are provided. In some examples, the method comprises: receiving measurements of one or more motion sensors of a mobile device disposed in a vehicle; selecting, based on a start time and an end time of a first route, a subset of the measurements; determining, based on the subset of the measurements, turns or stops made by the vehicle as part of the first route and their directions; determining, based on the subset of the measurements, distances of path segments traveled by the vehicle between the turns or stops; constructing an estimated route including a sequence of the turns or stops and path segments; selecting, based on comparing the estimated route and a plurality of candidates routes from a map, the first route; and displaying the map including the first route.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods for predicting a crash using estimated vehicle speed. A set of sensor measurements are received from a mobile device disposed within a vehicle. A set of contiguous windows based on the sensor measurements may be defined. Each contiguous window represents a contiguous portion of the sensor measurements. A set of sensor measurements may be defined for each contiguous window. A trained neural network may execute, using the set of features, to generate one or more speed predictions. A vehicle crash prediction may be generated using the speed prediction. The vehicle crash prediction may then be transmitted to a remote device.

摘要: A method for determining a transportation mode acquires magnetometer and speed data from a mobile device, correlates the magnetometer to the speed data in groupings, and performs spectral analysis on the groups of magnetometer data. Energy calculated for each of a set of frequency components obtained from the spectral analysis is compared to a baseline value to generate a difference, and a transportation mode type is assigned to the vehicle based on the difference.

摘要: Data processing techniques and systems for processing telematics data associated with a vehicle, such as an automobile, to classify how the vehicle is being operated by a driver. The telematics data can include the use of image data captured by a camera of the vehicle. The image data is processed in conjunction with vehicular telematics data such as position, speed, and acceleration data of the vehicle obtained from, for example, smartphone sensors. The image data is processed and used by a processing system to provide a context for the telematics data. The image data and the telematics data are classified by the processing system to identify driving behavior of the driver, determine driving maneuvers that have occurred, scoring driving quality of the driver, or a combination of them.

摘要: Among other things, a documentation of a crash involving a vehicle is generated automatically. Telematics data is received that has been produced by one or more sensors associated with a telematics device at the vehicle. Based on the telematics data, a vehicle crash period is determined that begins at a start time and ends at an end time of the vehicle crash. Based on the telematics data, one or more metrics are determined associated with the vehicle during the vehicle crash period. Based on one or more metrics, a human-readable documentation of the vehicle crash is generated automatically.

摘要: A sensor tag which in use will be affixed to a vehicle for obtaining vehicle telematics data includes a battery for powering the tag and a processor running executable code to process accelerometer data. An accelerometer measures the acceleration of the tag and thereby of the vehicle, and also controls the operation of the processor. A memory is used for storing a unique tag identifier of the tag and for storing trip data including information about trips and acceleration data. Finally, a communication module is used for short range wireless communication with a mobile communications device located in the vehicle via a short range wireless communications protocol, the communication module transmitting the tag's unique identifier and a sequence of time stamped acceleration data. The mobile communications device obtains GPS data, combines this with the acceleration date and transmits this to a server for analysis.

摘要: A method for determining usage of a mobile device in a vehicle by a user includes receiving a first value indicating an “off” state of a screen at a first time, operating at least one sensor of the mobile device to obtain first movement measurements, and classifying the first movements as usage movements. The method also includes generating an indication of mobile device usage, receiving a second value indicating an “on” state of the screen at a second time, operating the at least one sensor to obtain second movement measurements, and classifying the second movements as usage movements or non-usage movements. The method further includes maintaining the indication of mobile device usage in response to the second movements being classified as usage movements or changing the indication of mobile device usage to an indication of mobile device non-usage in response to the second movements being classified as non-usage movements.
