    Abstract: A fastener cartridge can be used with a shaft of a tool during an orthopedic procedure. The fastener cartridge can have a main housing that can be attached to fastener housing including a fastener chamber and a backstop component. The fastener chamber includes a plurality of non-flexible tabs and the backstop component includes a plurality of resiliently flexible tabs. The fastener housing is configured to include a plurality of fasteners that are arranged therein such that the longitudinal axes of the fastener chamber and the plurality of fasteners are collinear. The plurality non-flexible tabs prevent one of the fasteners from inadvertently passing entirely out of an outlet of the fastener chamber and the plurality of resiliently flexible tabs allow the fasteners to move axially in the first direction and restrict movement of the fasteners in a second direction opposite the first direction.

    Abstract: An implant assembly for a human sternum and ribs can include a sternal implant and a rib link. The sternal implant can be couplable to a sternum. The rib link can include a distal portion, a proximal portion, and a strut. The distal portion can be couplable to a rib. The proximal portion can be couplable to the sternal implant. The strut can connect the distal portion to the proximal portion. The strut can be configured to flex so that the distal portion can be aligned with the rib.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein. According to one example, the method can comprise imaging a target location of an anatomy of a patient to collect image data regarding at least one of a bone size, a bone orientation and a bone shape of the patient, displaying based upon the collected image data one or more patient-specific characteristics of the anatomy of the patient, and determining one or more of a size, a shape and an orientation for at least one bone graft based at least in part upon the one or more patient-specific characteristics of the anatomy of the patient. The method can convert the one or more patient-specific characteristics of the anatomy of the patient to a setting for a cutting instrument.
