摘要： A broadcasting receiver capable of receiving the broadcasting services via both broadcast wave and the Internet is provided, which may allow a user to select a desired broadcasting service irrespectively of the difference in transmission channel between the broadcast wave and the Internet. The broadcasting receiver includes a channel table to record at least a channel for the digital broadcasting service via the broadcast wave and a piece of access point name information for the digital broadcasting service via the Internet correspondingly to a channel number selected by a user, in which streaming data output of the tuner or the Internet communication device is selected based on the user's choice on the channel number. Further, when the same broadcasting service is provided via both the broadcast wave and the Internet, the broadcasting service of the better receiving condition is received.

摘要： A digital broadcast reception system includes: a digital tuner unit including a broadcast wave decoder, for decompressing a compressed digital broadcast wave for moving pictures, and a video scale converter, for reducing an image size provided by the decoded broadcast wave; and a transmission interface unit to be connected to the PC, wherein digital broadcasting images are transmitted via the transmission interface unit to enable the viewing of a digital broadcast. Thus, a digital broadcast reception system appropriate for a small information processing system, such as a notebook PC can be provided.

摘要： The aperture correction circuit of the present invention comprises a preshoot signal generator which generates the preshoot signal of the edge part of a video signal, an overshoot signal generator which generates the overshoot signal of the edge part of the video signal, a shoot signal composition circuit which adds the preshoot signal and the overshoot signal at an addition ratio corresponding to a control signal, thereby to deliver the resulting signal as a correcting shoot signal, and an adder which adds the video signal and the correcting shoot signal, thereby to deliver the resulting signal as an output, wherein the shoot signal composition circuit is supplied as the control signal with a signal which changes according to the input video signal, such as the differentiated signal of the input video signal. Thus, the ratio between the preshoot signal and the overshoot signal is dynamically changed according to the input signal, so that an image quality can be adjusted according to the input video signal.

摘要： A control method of controlling a transmitting unit to transmit a content via a network and a receiving unit to receive the content via a network. The method includes the steps of obtaining from the transmitting unit, resume information indicating a position at which reproduction of a content is suspended; transmitting to the receiving unit, an indication to reproduce the content beginning at the position which is indicated by the resume information and at which reproduction of a content is suspended; obtaining from the receiving unit, content reproducing information indicating the position at which the content is to be reproduced; transmitting an indication to stop reproduction of the content to the receiving unit; creating resume information by use of the content reproducing information obtained from the receiving unit; and transmitting the resume information to the transmitting unit.
