摘要: A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) having a processor configured to receive a signal indicating a position and/or movement of the ambulatory patient while the ambulatory patient is wearing the support structure receive the ECG signal, determine from an ECG signal whether a shock criterion is met, determine a confirmation time period and/or a response time period based on the position and/or movement of the ambulatory patient, determine from the ECG signal whether the shock criterion is met after the confirmation time period has elapsed, cause the user interface to generate the shock alert signal based on the shock criterion determined after the confirmation time period has elapsed, and control the discharge circuit to discharge the stored electrical charge when a predetermined time period has elapsed after the shock alert signal.

摘要: A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (“WCD”) system may include an impedance detector configured to render an impedance signal of the patient. The WCD system may determine, from the impedance signal, a characteristic of breathing by the patient that can be used as a vital sign. The WCD system may determine, from at least the breathing characteristic, whether or not a shock criterion is met. If the shock criterion is met, the WCD system may control a discharge circuit to discharge a stored electrical charge through the patient. An advantage can be that the breathing characteristic may be used to determine whether or not a patient is experiencing a condition that requires defibrillation therapy, such as sudden cardiac arrest. Even more advantages can be had in discerning the state of the patient when the breathing characteristic is combined with other data, such as from a motion detector.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method to alert a user of a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) is described. The method includes detecting a condition requiring attention of the patient and issuing an alert to notify the patient of the condition. The method also includes receiving a first input from the patient to replay the audible portion of the alert and replaying the audible portion of the alert when the first input is received.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method of alerting a user of a WCD is described. The method includes receiving an alert from the WCD on a remote device associated with the user and in communication with the WCD and transcribing the alert into a message for the user. The method also includes personalizing the message for the user and delivering the message to the user via the remote device.

摘要: A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system comprises a plurality of patient parameter electrodes and a plurality of defibrillator electrodes to contact a patient's skin when the WCD is delivering therapy to the patient, a processor to receive one or more patient parameters from the one or more patient parameter electrodes, an energy storage device to store a charge to provide electrical therapy to the patient via the plurality of defibrillator electrodes, and a non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) monitor to obtain a blood pressure measurement of the patient and to provide the blood pressure measurement to the processor. The processor is to determine whether to provide electrical therapy to the patient based on the one or more patient parameters during an episode, and to obtain the blood pressure measurement from the NIBP monitor during the episode.

摘要: Disclosed are a timeline-based navigation feature and a channel selection feature. The timeline-based navigation feature allows the user to visually identify significant events during an episode and quickly navigate the display of data to those significant events. Embodiments of such feature allow a user to quickly see that there is a shock delivered, for example, and click on that part of a timeline navigator to advance the detailed display of data to that point in the episode. The data channel selection feature enables selection of display channel(s) from among a set of available data channels. Embodiments of such feature enable a selection and/or deselection of various channels for display to minimize display of extraneous data and/or to select preferred channels of data for review.
