Abstract: A method of forming a liquid crystal alignment layer includes the following steps. A substrate is provided. A base layer is then formed on the substrate. A first liquid crystal alignment layer is formed on the base layer. The first liquid crystal alignment layer includes a plurality of first organic molecules. Each of the first organic molecules includes a first carboxyl group part and a first alkyl group part. A display panel includes the substrate, a counter substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and the first liquid crystal alignment layer. The substrate is disposed opposite to the counter substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the substrate and the counter substrate. The first liquid crystal alignment layer is disposed between the liquid crystal layer and the substrate.
