摘要： Feeding means for feeding stock to the dies of a cold pilger mill and the like, comprising a pair of feed carriages having the usual stock clamps, and means for moving the carriages in opposite directions on the machine bed in line with the dies. The clamps on the carriage moving toward the dies are engaged with the stock to feed the same, while the clamps of the carriage moving away from the stock are disengaged from the latter. Means are provided to move the carriages in increments, including a novel drive coordinated with crank shaft movement to feed the stock within a planned and predetermined crank range and variably adaptable to suit the quality and degree of deformation of the stock.
