摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for a security and automation system are described. A security and automation device, for example, such as a control panel may be configured to support a continuous active mode for the security and automation system. The continuous active mode may be a mode in which the security and automation system is continuously providing various types of security and automation features, such as monitoring, sensing, communication, notification, among other examples. The continuous active mode may also support active switching between multiple states (e.g., an ‘armed away’ state, an ‘armed stay’ state, and a ‘standby’ state) of the security and automation systems. Thus, irrespective of the different states the security and automation system may be continuously active (e.g., always ON).

The visual indicators may output a visual indication based on operational states of the device or other systems associated with the device. In some examples, a thermostat may include a downcast light that outputs a visual indication based on a mode of operation of the thermostat or a mode of operation of an associated heating, cooling, and ventilation (HVAC) system. Various characteristics of the visual indication may be altered to output different information. In some examples, a color of the visual indication may change based on the modes of operation or the visual indication may be pulsed based on the modes of operation.

摘要： An assembly, method, apparatus, and system for supplying power to security, life safety, information technology, and/or automation system components is disclosed. Some embodiments may include a power supply with a projecting terminal and a cable having a first end with an electrical contact surface for contacting a power transmitting surface of the projecting terminal to establish an electrical connection, so that a first end housing portion surrounds the electrical contact surface and at least partially covers the projecting terminal. The electrical contact surface may be adjustable using a spring, which may also assist in maintaining contact with the power transmitting surface located at the projecting terminal distal end. A cable second end may connect with an electronic device, and may be customizable according to the electronic device. Embodiments may also include keying features for ensuring connection with appropriate power supplies.

摘要： A hidden display apparatus, system, and method. A display apparatus embodiment may include a face layer and a projection layer, with the projection layer positioned behind the face layer. The face layer may include a front side and a back side. The front side may include a first area configured to display high resolution images and a second area positioned around the first area. The first area and the second area may be made of the same material, and have similar color(s) and/or patterns. The projection layer may include a light source operative in an active mode and an inactive mode. When in the active mode, the projection layer may project light to the face layer to display images in the first area. When in the inactive mode, the face layer may be visually obscured so that the first area and the second area together display a colored surface.
