Abstract: A network device receives, from a customer, a customer subscription to a media transformation service; receives, from the customer as a first component of the subscription, data associated with customer media; and receives, from the customer as a second component of the subscription, one or more customer-selected parameters that specify media transformations to be performed upon the customer media. The network device receives, from a client browser, a request for the customer media, and transforms, responsive to receipt of the request from the client browser, the customer media based on the one or more customer-selected parameters to produce a transformed version of the customer media. The network device sends the transformed version of the customer media, via a content delivery network, to the client browser.

Abstract: Techniques described herein may be used to create and manage a network of customer premise equipment (CPE) devices (e.g., a CPE network). CPE devices may be rapidly initialized by integrating a process for initializing the CPE devices with a wireless network with a process for initializing the CPE devices with the CPE network. Configuration information for controlling the CPE devices may be managed and stored in a centralized location as machine-readable, computer-programming objects, which may be combined to provide a comprehensive view of the CPE network. Network services may be efficiently introduced into the CPE network and managed by creating virtual CPE devices that are associated with the CPE devices of the CPE network.

The CPE device may be capable of logically combining a connection with a wireless cellular network and a wired network to increase bandwidth and reliability. The CPE device may also detect a power failure and report the power failure to a centralized server in order to facilitate the diagnosis and correction of performance issues caused by the power failure.
