An apparatus may comprise a network access component for execution by circuitry to automatically determine whether a wireless device can access a wireless network based on security credentials of the wireless device, and generate a network status signal when the wireless device can access a wireless network. The apparatus may comprise a power interface component for execution by circuitry to send control directives to manage various power states of the wireless device based on the network status signal. 摘要： Devices and configurations to implement wireless network connectivity enhancements that improve wireless network connection time and operations are generally disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a reduced wireless network scan is performed to only scan wireless network channels associated with a preferred or previously profiled wireless network. If a preferred or profiled network is identified from the result of the reduced wireless network scan, then an automatic connection may be established immediately with the preferred or profiled wireless network. Performance of the reduced wireless network scan may be performed instead of a full wireless network scan, thereby saving the amount of time required to scan channels that do not have a preferred or profiled wireless network.

摘要： Embodiments of system and method configurations for providing provisioning information to a mobile device via a wireless network access point are generally described herein. In some examples, a communication session is established between a mobile device and a service provider to obtain provisioning information for wireless network connectivity via a designated access point (e.g., a “hotspot”). A HTTP session is established within the communication session to exchange registration information via a browser of the mobile device. Provisioning information is returned within the communication session in a Subscription Management Object (MO) in response to successful completion of the HTTP session. The subscription MO is provided outside of the browser and the HTTP session (but within the communication session) using mechanisms such as OMA-DM or SOAP-XML communications. The mobile device can then utilize the provisioning information from the subscription MO to associate with an appropriate hotspot.

摘要： Embodiments of a system, apparatus and method for sharing wireless connection profiles between multiple OSs are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a first wireless connection may be established between a wireless communication device and an access point of a wireless network or one or more other devices of a peer-to-peer networking group while the wireless communication device is running in an OS. A wireless connection profile for the first wireless connection may be stored in a shared profiles storage associated with the device, and then may be retrieved from the shared profiles storage responsive to the device being booted in a different OS. A second wireless connection may be automatically established between the device booted in the different OS and the access point or the one or more other devices using the wireless connection profile retrieved from the shared profiles storage.
