    Abstract: A head-up display and a method for operating a head-up display for a motor vehicle. Virtual objects may be assigned to parts of the environment of the motor vehicle, where a virtual reference feature is obtained, the orientation of which is defined on the basis of a roadway that is or can be used by a vehicle. An orientation of the motor vehicle may be determined in relation to the virtual reference feature. A virtual object may be displayed when the part of the environment to which it is assigned lies within a field of view for the head-up display, wherein a horizontal position of the object that is displayed is defined in the field of view on the basis of the relative orientation to the virtual reference feature.

    Abstract: A head-up display and techniques for operating a head-up display for a motor vehicle. An assignment is obtained of at least one virtual object that can be displayed to a part of the environment. The head-up display may be operated in a normal display mode when the object assigned to the part of the environment is within a field of view for the head-up display. The head-up display is then operated in an alternative display mode when the object assigned to the part of the environment is not, or not entirely, contained within the field of view for the head-up display, wherein a virtual display is generated in the alternative display mode.

    Abstract: A method and a device for maneuvering a combination of a towing vehicle and a trailer, wherein the trailer is connected to the towing vehicle by a non-steerable tow-bar, and the towing vehicle observes the rear surroundings, including the trailer, by a rear-view camera. The method includes the steps: a) determining the actual articulation of the trailer relative to the towing vehicle; b) determining the length of the tow-bar and the maximum articulation of the trailer; c) inputting the intended articulation of the trailer; d) reversing the towing vehicle with at least active steering support until the intended articulation of the trailer is reached; e) fixing the direction of travel predetermined by the intended articulation; f) maneuvering the towing vehicle with at least active steering support while maintaining the predetermined direction of travel until an eventual parking position is reached.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, a computer program with instructions, and a device for generating a display of an augmented reality head-up display for a motor vehicle. In a first step, a position of the motor vehicle is determined. A plurality of virtual elements for a navigation hint is then provided on the basis of the position of the motor vehicle. The virtual elements, as seen from the motor vehicle, extend on both sides in a lateral direction to outside a field of view of the augmented reality head-up display. Finally, at least that virtual element which has the shortest distance to a center of the field of view is rendered.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a device for the improved visualization of a notice in a motor vehicle. A contact-analog head-up display places information in direct contact with the environment. In contrast to conventional head-up displays, the information appears as part of the environment. Some embodiments provide an information container that is placed at a distance x from the vehicle which grows corresponding to the reduction of the distance x, and is placed fixed relative to the environment to produce the effect of a container located in reality. The necessity of an interaction may be communicated by the element remaining stationary. That is, shortly before the position of the information container is reached, it remains immobile in the field of vision and is “pushed” in front of the ego vehicle. This makes it immediately apparent that an operation is needed to acknowledge the pop-up respectively to thereby trigger an action.
