摘要: Dermatological cosmetic combination treatments with high intensity focused ultrasound, dermal fillers, fat-reducing compounds, cavitation-prone fluids, and/or septa dissection are provided. A HIFU therapy system can include an imaging system, methods adapted to alter placement and position of a line focus, multiple simultaneous cosmetic ultrasound treatment zones and/or dithering ultrasound beams from a transducer to alter placement and position of multiple cosmetic treatment zones in tissue. The HIFU systems can include a hand wand removable transducer module, and control module. The dermal fillers can include hydroxyapatite. The fat-reducing compounds can include adipocytolytic compounds, pentacyclic triterpenoid compounds, proapoptotic compounds, compounds impairing differentiation of pre-adipocytes, and combinations thereof. The cavitation-prone fluids can include molecules dissolved in fluids, ethanol, glycerin, and ethylene glycol. The septa dissecting can include using a cutting blade and/or cavitation HIFU. The cosmetic treatment system may be used in various cosmetic procedures, such as treating cellulite.

摘要: Embodiments are provided that enhance ultrasound efficacy by for example, high efficiency, signal measurement, calibration, and assurance systems with a control system radio-frequency (RE) driver configured to drive one or more focused ultrasound transducers. The RE driver can comprise one or more power amplifiers including one or more III-V semiconductors, (e.g., gallium nitride GaN, GaAs, GaSb, InP, InAs, InSb, InGaAs, AlSb, AlGaAs, and/or AlGaN) field-effect transistors to efficiently provide high power with distinct narrow-band RE signals over a wide frequency range. The RE driver can include a power measurement and/or calibration system to monitor the amplitude and phase of the RE signal output from the power amplifier and estimate the amount of RE power delivered to the ultrasound transducers.

摘要: Ultrasound devices, and associated methods of assembly thereof, are disclosed whereby an annular electrode array of an ultrasound transducer is electrically connected to a flexible printed circuit board in a compact configuration. The flexible circuit board includes an elongate flexible segment and a distal distribution segment, where the distribution segment is attached to a peripheral support ring that surrounds at least a portion of the ultrasound transducer. The distribution segment includes a plurality of spatially distributed contact pads, and electrical connections are provided between the contact pads and the annular electrodes of the annular array. A backing material may be provided that contacts and extends from the annular array electrodes, and a distal portion of the elongate flexible segment may be encapsulated in the backing material, such that the distal portion extends inwardly from the peripheral support ring, without contacting the electrical connections and without contacting the array surface.
